I assumed that Nabu told him to go back to Earth because his powers are that of Ancient Egyptian gods, therefore tied directly to Earth. So, by being on Earth, he is more powerful.
Ok so everybody in The Movement might as well being wearing Guy Fawkes masks because Gail is clearly referencing Anonymous. Great job, glorify a bunch of real life criminals and give them super powers. They just might get enough of an e-boner to steal more peoples identity
I don't find Khalid's grasp of his powers that odd. For one, he's not brand new, he's been Fate for a while he was just avoiding it. Like Nabu said, Khalid knows Egyption gods and what their traits were.
What I found odd was Nabu zapping them to Boston. Nabu said it was to put Khalid on equal footing with Wotan. Why? If it was removing them from a place of power, wouldn't that weaken Khalid as well? And instead of confining the conflict to a pocket demention he takes to an area heavily populated with innocent bystanders.
I hate to admit it because certain puriant elements will make a *ahem* bigger issue out of it... but one of the reasons it felt more like the old PG to me was because she's back in her old costume. I know a character is more than just their costume, but let's face it, Power Girl's costume was iconic. Sure many of the New 52 costumes have had some changes but they were still recognizable. PG's was thrown right out the window. It just felt, relieving, to see her in the old style.
