About Me

So, Madros told Griffin again of his past. How he was born in the 17th Century to a widow mother. How his mother was accused of being a witch and burnt at the stake. How he leapt at the flames himself in an attempt to save her... He told Griffin everything, but this basic summary is this:

After her death, Michael Andros learnt that his mother was indeed a witch as he was taken in by her fellow witches. He despised magic from then on, as it was the thing that caused his mother's death and through it, his mutilated body, along with being the tool used by the hags he was taken in by. Oh, how he hated them. He realized early on they only sought to use his anger as a tool for vengeance against society, that he was nothing but a simple blade to them, one that needed sharpening before it could tear the world apart. But he didn't care. He was weak due to his burns, all over his body back then, so the witches brewed a potion for him that would give him strength and heal his wounds. They failed however, instead granting him immense intelligence and only healing exactly half of his body. Still, his vast wealth of knowledge allowed him to torture and eventually slaughter everyone in the village he had called home. And then, he killed the witches too. Every last one. But when he came to the last one, she had enough time left to curse Michael. Curse him with a long life, but one plagued with misfortune and pain. With her last breath, she uttered his name, slurring them both together to create Madros. Michael liked the name. And so, Madros gained immortality, but at a price. Still, he intended to use the curse to his advantage. Using the books left by the dead witches, Madros used magic for the first and only time in his life, enchanting a single coin so that it would guide him throughout his life, always showing the path of good fortune. And it has worked, for many centuries. Madros has endured for all this time, turning his curse into a blessing and scheming his way throughout the years. But the ultimate prize has always eluded Madros... Power. Control. Domination. His curse stopped him from attaining any of these things... At least, they stopped him from attaining them alone...
