TOP COMICS OF THE WEEK (12/11/13)!!!

List items

  • I usually hate tie-ins, but The Justice League forever tie-ins have been really good so far. I love the back-story of Owl-man here just like I loved Ultra-man's story on the previous issue. Big things are happening for Nightwing here, and I'm interested to see what happens next with Dick and Owl-man. 8.5/10

  • I was going to drop this since this title is being relaunched.(-_-) This issue prevented me from dropping this. I enjoyed the Wolverine-Cyclops team-up, but really liked the second storyline involving the SHIELD double agents and the students. Previous tie-ins like AvX, AoU, Battle of the Atom etc. really effected this title. Even the Hellfire Saga was an underwhelming arc. These last two issues went back to the root of this title. 8.5/10

  • Another tie-in that I really liked. I like how MARVEL showcases more lighter side of things. Instead of always having the traditional good vs bad stories. That's why I really like Hawkeye.

The X-Ladies have a girls-night-out. Bendis did a great job showing each female's personality. I'm not a big fan of the Inhumans, but it is going to interesting seeing the conflict between them and the mutants. Inhumans popping up everywhere is just like the after-effects of AvX where new mutants started showing over all over the world. I bet MARVEL is planning ANOTHER EVENT (-_-) where it's going to INHUMANS vs. X-MEN. Overall, this was great-fun issue. The art was also phenomenal. 8.5/10

  • This was a nice conclusion to this arc. Bat-girl and Commissioner Gordon had a great scene together. I still don't know how Gordon doesn't know that his daughter is under that mask. Barbara almost revealed herself to Gordon this issue, but I liked his explanation as to why he doesn't wait to know her identity. Good writing here, Gail Simone. 8/10

  • This was good stuff. I felt like the story was dragging slightly these past few issues. All the threads finally came together here. I'm excited to see the HARBINGER gang move away from Harada co. 8/10

  • Nothing really huge happened this issue. Greg Rucka is just building the Lazarus world. Some new chacrters are introduced here. I still don't know their connection to the story, but let's see what happens. Michael Lark's art continues to look great. 7.5/10

  • I really enjoyed the Martian Manhunter- Stargirl team-up these past few issues. We got to know more about Courtney (Stargirl). I want to see more of her in the future. 7.5/10

  • Good read. 7/10

  • This didn't move forward the story that much, but it was good. This had a badass secen with Maggie. I wasn't happy at all with a cetain character's death. DAMN YOU KIRKMAN! 7/10

  • I really want Zero Year to end, but this issue was a little better than the previous one. I liked Bruce's freakout with Gordon. Greg Cupollo's art continues to look remarkable. 7/10

  • I usually like these type of stories since I'm a big Punisher fan. This wasn't bad, but it wasn't really great either. I don't have much space for new titles either. 6.5/10

  • I was expected something else with this one. This rendition of the league wasn't really that interesting. Not a big Wonder Twins fan either. 6/10
