Bryan Singer sucks at handling big casts. First class was refreshing but now he is sinking back into old bad habits.

Jean Grey Origins is pretty good and the art is great to look at. It's a great Jean one-shot.

Emma's not simply an "ex", too. They've grown together, they've changed each other, they've shared the Phoenix Force itself, they've gone through many things together but now Bendis seems to remember only about Jean, and he doesn't even consider how deep Scott relationship with Emma was.

I'm not denying Emma was a huge part of his life. But Jean and Scott were together for years, and their love has quite literally saved the universe from the Phoenix Force. In AvX, Emma and Scott couldn't stop the Phoenix Force. Saying that Scott is "over" Jean and no longer retains a certain kind of love for her is like saying Scott doesn't have optic blasts as a Mutant power. Jean and Scott had changed during New X-Men. Jean was growing more independent from Scott and no longer being afraid of her powers and Scott had grown darker and could no longer recognize himself. Jean and Scott kind of accepted the fact although they loved each other, they no worked as a couple. They wanted each other but they no longer needed each other.

Plus, before AvX came, Emma herself said she felt unappreciated by Scott. It's kind of like the same thing that happened with Jean and Scott, coupled with the fact they have numerous unresolved issues, Emma's attraction to Namor (reflecting Wolverine and Jean) and the unforgettable fact that Scott himself nearly choked her to death kind of puts a damper on the relationship.

I'm not a fan of either of these relationships though. Scott I believe cannot sustain a healthy romantic relationship because of his dedication to being a leader. He's Cyclops first and foremost and Scott Summers second.

Bendis probably focuses more on Jean because the comic is about the O5, and not about the Emma and Scott relationship. He's said in interviews that he likes the Scott and Emma relationship but after AvX, they've done major harm to their relationship. Uncanny will most likely focus on that.

I think it's just a coloring error. The costume is nothing like Stephanie's.

It really helped bring the X-Men into the modern age and what a modern X-Men comic should be like. Morrison contributed to this to, but I believe Whedon set the standard.

What I don't understand is how you could go from Remy freakin' Lebeau to an old dude. Sure, Marvel gives Eric a killer six pack, but I miss old school Romy.

Lol, the best thing about this is that Bendis seems to have forgotten that Scott has loved Emma Frost for ages. Why doesn't he have a photograph of her?? And why does he keep a lock of Jean's hair when he has completely overcome his old relationshi??. I just hope that one of those photos were Emma's, but I don't think so: Emma isn't the kind of person that likes being immortalized in photos with his boyfriend, and if Young Scott had found one of Emma's photos he would have left Jean to find the blond chick lol

Scott's past relationship with Emma doesn't change the fact that Jean was a huge part of his life. He did put a ring on her after all. Jean's not simply an "ex".

It frustrates me too. I mean it's not like she's helped saved the world hundreds of times, aided younger students, or is complex character, but no, everyone has to focus on how much of a "slut" she is. Gimme me a break, haters...and this is coming from a Jean Grey fan, and I don't get why I have to pick a side. I love my girls.

Young Jean?

Not only has she got a famous legacy thanks to her older counterpart, she also doesn't have to suffer the burdens of that same counterpart. She's really grown on me and Bendis makes it believable for someone so young to have the maturity to lead an X-Men team. Rather than backing down, she's stepped up.

All Marvel has to do is say "Jean Grey" and they're pretty much guaranteed money.
