@staphin: I don't know if your being sarcastic or not but ill choose to believe that your being sincere. It is currently unclear exactly where my path will take me, across the divide to the other of the big two, witness the Image of a fast growing empire, be awed by a small but Valiant tribe, or maybe even travel across the seas and make a Shoen Jump to something different. What i do know is that i will be back one day, back to fully embrace the characters i love so dearly free of the poisons of Bendis and his ilk.
I have always loved and will always love Marvel, and i never wanted to be one of those people who says they are quiting Marvel after some stupid status quo change....but the depowering and murder of of my favorite avenger combined with the ignored inhuman genocide of all mutantkind, demonizing and exile of my favorite X-man, and plus all the other stupid substituting (I wouldnt be surprised if Bendis did something to Spiderman so that Miles becomes the "real Spiderman" by default) *sigh* but I think im going to take a break for now and come back after all this stuff hopefully ends
I don't know how i feel about Dan Slott but I definitely wouldn't be against a new writer, however having one of my favorite characters drawn by one of my favorite artists is both amazing and spectacular
It really saddened me to see Beast with the Faux Xmen instead of the real Xmen like he belongs and on a related note, it really irritates me that within the MU (obviously i understand creator wise, not that i'm happy about it) that no effort has been made to get rid of the mutant death cloud. I know one of the justifications of Beast exile was that he was "working on a cure" but you don't need a cure if you just get rid of the damn cloud. It took me awhile but i finally understand why everyone hates Bendis, of which now i count myself, for all his crap as well as what he did to my favorite Xman. On a positive note, I love David Marquez's art and that spread of most of the Marvel heroes...*sigh* and the Inhumans, was great.
@theexile285: I haven't read Gotham Academy, but if that's any indication of its quality then i will definitely look in to it. That Rocket and Groot page looks like a cross between Superjail and Uncle Grandpa. Even though the art for Illuminati has been pretty bad so far, that page looks great. That Gwenpool page is that old school Loony Toons/Animainiacs funny that i love.
