Stupid browser at work won't let me use the text editor so I can't quote other posts. TheGoldneOne.... Yeah yeah, I see your point, there are other threads asking to list favourite stories and arcs. My point is simply that there are more negative than positive threads. Everyone is entitled to their opinnions, I know that. It just irritates me when people are more vocal about bad points and good points are overlooked. It's almost as if a lot of people read comics just to point out what was wrong with it instead of just reading to enjoy. Marvel announce the next event, people straight away jump on board the wagon that says "this will be crap" WHY IS THIS?? Why would you immediatly assume it is going to be bad. Before people read them, they have already made up their minds and the stories are immediatly cast in the wrong light. PEOPLE.... We are all on this forum for one reason and that is, we love comics. If you are finding that you dislike stories more than you like them the simple solution is to stop reading comics. Do something else that you enjoy.

I'm always reading about people not liking stories. You all love comics though yeah? To totally change this thread, can any of you name stories you DO like? Sorry to go off the subject. I love ComicVine, but I can't help but note that most people complain more than compliment comics. The negative is concentrated on more than the positive. So what stories do you like??

Erm..... I think the title is reffering to the actual dead that are walking about. Ha! I understand you're point. The survivors all live hopeless lives, constant fear, never knowing who is going to die next. May aswell be dead as life as we know it has come to an end. I think this is a good way of summing it up.... But.... Again, I think it's just plain and simple, the dead are walking and biting, run for your f%*king life. The show is ace, I'm really in to it. Your friend would be right if it was a one off film. The lack of zombies on screen would make it dull, but they have to drag it out as it's a TV series. The more talking adds to the suspense.

I don't know off the top of my head when he got rid of the web-wings under arm, but Spider-Man himself has reffered to this style as his classic costume. Secret Invasion for example, when a Skrull ship crash lands and a load of Skrulls disguised as heroes emerge fromt he ship, comments are made on Luke Cages old tiara wearing outfit and Spidey's "classic Web under arm outfit"

Again, 'One More Day' was NOT an event, or a cross over...... It was simply a storyline. So it doesn't apply in this thread.

For me my best and worst are......

Best.

1. Annihilation

2. Civil War (I don't care what anyone else says, I thank Civil War for getting me back in to comics)

3. Siege (Yeah, it was a slight disappointment, but it was quick and to the point instead of dragged out like most events.)

Worst.

1. World War Hulk

2. House of M

3. Annihilation : Conquest

Why do people continue to say that 'One More Day' was an event? It was a a story in Spider-Man, it wasn't a cross over event, it didn't affect anyone out side of the Spidey stories. And in all truthfulness it wasn't AS BAD as everyone says. Yeah, it was pretty lame, but they had to do something to cover up Spider-Mans identity, because lets face it that was the point of it really. Peter Parker has very high morals, more than most others. One of his main reasons for sticking at being a super hero is that his identity was kept secret. During Civil War, he told the world who he was and it ruined his life. How could he have carried on being Spider-Man? He wouldn't have, it would have killed his love to save others to protect his loved ones. Again, it was pretty lame, but it was something that needed to be done to maintain Spider-Man.

They are both too different to compare.  BUT....... In my opinion, they are similar in regards to what they did for the original movies. They both equally revamped the series. We all know that the original Batman was great in the early 90's, but oh my God did it age badly and they got worse and worse. Same with Xmen, the first one was good, second one was better then the third was just so bad I think it was beyond fixing.
