@toptom: I agree, the main problem with this new costume is that it has too many interpretations. The classic costume has its problems but one of the reasons it's the iconic look for Superman is that it's easy to draw a similar interpretation of it.
@toptom: Who did the second cover? Norm Rapmund? Damn that's awesome. And I agree with your point. With the right artist, the New 52 costume can look good. Two of my favourite artists to do the costume are Lee and Daniels interpretation of it. Those guys know how to keep it classic and contemporary at the same time
Having teasers for the teaser trailer is a tad annoying. But what was shown in that teaser for the teaser was very interesting. I look forward to seeing it fleshed out since the composite elements for this film are present.
@pope052: Respectfully, I feel I must abstain from voting. Forwarding the view that DBZ characters can beat the typical DC and Marvel powerhouses is fair enough. But in order to stand a chance against Thanos and SS, one requires a tremendous amount of power and that's something I don't feel the DBZ characters have no matter how much you highball them or use calculations that show scientifically what they're capable. The logic of that doesn't make sense to me at all. So I'll abstain from voting out of concern my prior judgements on this match up might skew my voting.
I'd LOVE nothing more than for this book to be cancelled but realistically, a book featuring DC's most prominent characters shunted together in a power couple with top creators and well known villains isn't going to be cancelled any time soon.
As for what will realistically be cancelled, Batwing and Stormwatch are dropping low on sales so that could definitely cause their cancellation. World's Finest and The Movement are other options. Maybe Talon too.
Still the same answer as last time. Lex has been done right in more than just All Star Superman. Cornell's Black Ring, Azzarello's Luthor, Johns' Infinite Crisis and Bryne's Man of Steel. There are so many dimensions to the character that have been intelligently explored that make Lex as nuanced as the Joker for me.
@indiecomicsftw: Invincible has 106 solo issues not to mention any extra appearances he may have put in. Even appearing in 6 series in the New 52 consistently, New 52 Superman has only appeared in just over half of Invincible's appearances at the most. However, he will eventually surpass Mark in appearances and with those come more feats.
And guess which fan favourite version of Hulk shows up to fight Fin Fang Foom? Only the mother flipping Green Scar folks! The version everyone clamours for appears in this issue.
