@mrdecepticonleader: "Life could exist just as easily on other planets."

Really? I think this may be a tremendous oversimplification. Even using the standards of the materialist and the empiricist this really ignores the statistical probabliities. Yikes.

Yeah, but life is a chemical process and chemistry is governed by electromagnetism not statistics.

QFT. This is why in all the vastness of the universe beyond what we know of it, life could most likely exist elsewhere. It would be radically different to the life we know though. It might be completely different and incomprehensible by our standards. Who knows? I doubt we'll reach the stage that Reed Richards and other fictional scientists have regarding space travel.

I completely get what you're saying about life on other planets, but is that based off probabilities? :]

Yes it is. But you can't exactly say that believing in God isn't based off probabilities as well. Because it definitely is.

I did a blog on this already but it seems you found the video on Youtube. Highly amusing doesn't come close to describing it.

Oh for... Damn you Marvel. I was just thinking about how good Hickman on the Avengers is and then I see this. Why'd you have to ruin my perception of you Marvel?

@Funrush: i don't think Spectre is going to be the wrath of God in this incarnation, i think he is just a really pissed off ghost , maybe since pandora, phantom stranger and that mystery dude are already omnipotent they don't want wrath o God Spectre thrown in, this could be a watered down version , thats my theory anyways

Oh well that sucks. Spectre should be the be all, end all in the DCU except for the Presence. This is just ridiculous. Another casualty of the New 52

@Shawnbaby: Not many characters can duplicate giving Superman a concussion though.

@theTimeStreamer: Just as Marvel do with goodness knows how many X-Men or Wolverine titles. It's quite annoying. Fortunately I'm enlightened enough now to not just read about my favourite characters but to look for good books too. Both with and without my favourites in.

i think its pointless. give us outsiders. or better yet shadowpact. with chimp detectvie.

This would make more sense in the scheme of the New 52. Somewhere down along the line, Batman, being the leader of the Justice League feels it isn't doing a good enough job or that there are some things it can't handle. So he forms the Outsiders to do just those jobs. I'd throw in Geo Force, Black Lightning, Looker, Halo, Katana and Metamorpho. And maybe instead of Batman leading it, he gets Jason off that stupid Outlaws title by Lobdell to lead this secret squad to handle the dirty jobs. With hints that Jason might be up for working closer with Bruce, this would be an awesome move. And it would end RHATO.

@kuonphobos: So I'm guessing you're a reasonable theist given your last few posts?

Oh how predictable. Even though this is slightly better in terms of writing than previous events in the last 6 or 7 years, I didn't think the ending would be that original.
