@grandsymbiote94: I've seen other forum posters propose that Solar Superman is the fake Clark. It wouldn't be impossible for him to survive and he was already experiencing New 52 Superman's memories.
@vinomonster Yeah I know, that could be justified as an explanation for how Prime was able to escape the Source Wall.
@masterofevil: There's still the matter of Oz's escaped prisoner's identity too, that needs to be revealed in Reborn too. Still, Mystery Clark being there and dropping off that photo album is a little too convenient to be a coincidence.
@masterofevil: You have a good point, Mxy could pull off disappearing and making himself undetectable by Clark's senses. Teleporting around is what Mxy often does. I'm just not sure what purpose Mxyzptlk would have for impersonating Clark. His intent has never been this malicious. Also, his powers haven't been associated with a weird blue fire/energy before, that might be a connection with the Paradise Dimension still.
His last appearance was in Teen Titans #100 where he got imprisoned in the Source Wall by Supergirl and Superboy. It might be possible for someone to remove him from the Source Wall and bring him into the current DCU.
What if when Black Mask freed everyone from the Source Wall during God Hunt, Superboy Prime came out too?
I mean that's a possibility and a good explanation for why Prime is here. But Mr Oz will probably have a role in being the one to release whoever the Mystery Clark is in the first place.
@lvenger: Last time we saw Prime was Blackest Night, right? His fate was pretty ambiguous.

I'm struggling to see how Mystery Clark can be anyone other than Superboy Prime. That childish junk food diet is what I imagine Prime's diet consists of.
This is actually a pretty smart guess.
Not my theory, posters on other boards came up with it first.

@giliad_: You thought New 52 Superman was consistently competent and intelligent? Well that is a rarity. Personally I thought he was always pretty aggressive, less strategic and more prone to brawling. It was consistent but he fought more clumsily than Pre Flashpoint/Rebirth Superman.
