I'm gonna be labelling everything as classic or modern and rating it from 0-5 on a prior knowledge scale. Classic/Modern is like when its from, how it portrays shit, and if its canon currently or not. the 0-5 scale is kind of just how much obscure shit it mentions or like how many characters and things u gotta know stuff about.

I'll make another list for this but honestly this provides the best general knowledge of dc shit possible and its really really good.
(Classic 0) THE Batman origin story. Like this shit is classic for a reason.
(Classic 2) Probably my favorite batman story, its a perfect blend between the superhero batman and villains type of story and the earlier in the timeline batman vs mafia bosses type story.
(Classic 3) Do i even need to say anything here no probably not. Basically this book will somehow defy all expectations in the best way???
(Modern 1) This is "batman's first encounter with the joker" and its pretty good but i don't like it because it feels like a shitty version of some things from killing joke but u should still read it
(Classic 3) Soooooo good this shows the true insanity of the joker more than anything else.
(Classic 3) This shit is amazing its probably the best look at the mental health of various characters in arkham asylum as well as batman himself and the art is AMAZING
(Modern 1) This is the modern batman origin story and its surprisingly good? I like what they did with Martha Wayne a lot
(Modern 5) This is considered really good and it is pretty good but its also kind of convoluted and the art is kind of stereotypical new comic art like every man has clenched teeth and every woman has hella tits but its good?
