They seem to be keeping a fair bit more from the comics than the previous three films, I like that, that is how it should be. I will be quite appalled if he isn't bitten by a radioactive spider, after all there is a scene where there's a ton of them on some sort of rotating wall.

@mextli: And you sir, what say you?

@mextli: In which case I call stalemate.

@mextli: True, but because there is a vast amount of evidence as to what Hulk can achieve and little as to what Hancock has done, and if we take into consideration their invulnerability, then I give it to Hulk simply for fact over speculation.

@CitizenBane: Their fight was merely a fist fight was it not? Matter warping powers, which both Sentry and Blue Marvel have (if you taken into account the whole molecule man debaucle) may affect Superman and Gladiator seeing as they are really only flight and strength officianados. I'm no expert so I don't recall either taking on a foe that alters matter.

What about Sentry being totally invincible and his molecule man-esque powers? And Blue Marvel being an anti-matter reactor? On strength terms then team 1 would probably win, but I think it comes much closer if one considers what little superman and gladiator can do against the reshaping of matter to one's will. I am, thus, undecided.

In more open a space I'd probably say Crossbones, but due to the setting I am compelled to agree with the majority, Snake Eyes.

Seeing as they recently "teamed up" in the Revengers I thought this could be interesting.

Rules

  • Both have morals ON. Both are heroic (Edwards is highly religious, Williams cares about his reputation)
  • Neither are willing to kill
  • No prep, they happen upon each other, while looking for a brief reprieve, a moment of contemplation.
  • They spot each other from a mile or so.
  • Range at which they cross paths and engage varies from close to long, both using the full extent of their potential.
  • Location is Stone Henge, Wiltshire, England.
  • A WIN is determined by one being beaten into submission

Wonder Man - Simon Williams

Before his recent insanity, meaning he maintains mental coherence to think tactically and doesn't act irrationally out of instinct. All faculties are at full i.e. strength, ionic power, flight, invulnerability. Wearing his normal costume (as shown in image).

Ethan Edwards

Post skrull invasion, meaning he is highly agitated (if not furious) at the treatment of his people, the skrulls, and seeks some sort of retribution. All faculties are at full i.e. strength, flight, invulnerability, heat vision/energy projection, shape-shifting. Wearing trademark costume/armour.

Hulk's strength tends to be stated as limitless, propotionately with his rage, and thus Hancock seems only able to muster a certain level of strength. I'd say Hulk.

Sentry, but not without Wonder Man putting up a valiant effort. Their strength levels have been stated as closely matched, albeit by Wonder Man himself.
