I like the Scarlet Witch, I dislike MODOK intensely. He constantly reminds me of the TMNT cartoon when Shredder reveals himself to be something very similar.
If the X-men were disposing of their enemies in public view, perhaps they could instill a little fear and command what respect they once had. I doubt that is really an option for the Avengers, as they're supposed to carry the banner for righteous heroes, to tarnish that image could be devastating, a Second Coming for the Avengers might occur.
Any comic fan could pick apart First Class because of little things here and there and roster changes etc, but it's just such a well made film. The only person who I couldn't really stand was Angel Salvadore, she didn't really do much. Everything else was top notch.
I really hate that they have Ultimate Nick Fury and not the normal one, just so they could use a big name. And Samuel L. Jackson's not exactly a great actor. Each character had better get their fair share of screen time, I can see Thor and Hulk being sidelined for Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
The idea behind OMD is fine but you're right, they didn't need to reset everything, and couldn't they just let Aunt May die already? I'd tie Dark Reign and Siege in second place partly because it was nothing it could have been and towards the end we all know how it completely ruined the Sentry. I loved Deadly Genesis for the X-men and many other storylines i.e. Decimation, Messiah Complex, Second Coming etc. But Necrosha was awful. It was a poor man's Blackest Night.
I would imagine what he said happens a lot of the time in that sort of industry. And people like Bendis or Fraction are given free reign? It does sound slightly bitter though.
