Least DC has the new 52 as their reason, and most of them are generally higher quailty. Marvel's just oversaturating the market.

I wasn't a huge fan of Siege, but it was still MUCH better than Fear Itself. FI was a total waste of time/money. Worst event I've read in years.

People use the term "rip-off" way too broadly. Under the definition given here, everything could be considered a "rip-off" of something else, and DC would be just as guilty as Marvel.
 
This is just an argument of a DC fanboy looking to bash Marvel, It has no merit, both companies are doing virtually the same thing.

I love Bachalo's art. Maybe its an acquired taste, because I started off not liking it too, but now I'm a big fan.
 
Anyway, Issue #1 was awesome, most fun I had reading an issue in a while. WATX, X-factor and X-Force are all on the gold side, the blue side will have a tough time keeping up with that quality imo.

It takes an incredibly educated and experienced person to have an honest and real conversation about race. 
 
Internet message boards are usually not a good place to find those people, every race thread will ultimately be derailed by people who either choose to, or lack the ability to understand the importance of diversity.
 
As far as the issue, when I walk outside, I see people of all different colors, and it would be nice if I could see that in comics as well. I'm all for diversity. I think comics have come a long long way, but they still have some ways to go.
