I really wish I could get into this show like I've gotten into Flash and Arrow but something about it just keeps me away and continues to do so. Also, can they pronounce Falcone correctly?? I haven't watched the show after the first couple of episodes, but Falcone is italian for falcon, which hunt bats. Symbolic, yes? Listen to the Italian pronunciation. They're leaving out the last E.

Maybe this has been explained and I missed it or it has been fixed.

This bothers me as well, and while they don't explain it on the show.....I'm wondering if they do so that the audience doesn't get his name mixed up with the other crime boss Maroni.?

My theory anyways.

1. Gotham- If I had to choose only one to watch each week.....this would be it. Just love the Batman mythos so much which is why it keeps me interested, and its something different that hasn't really been done before. Constantine gets a VERY close second, and hope it doesn't get cancelled.

2. TMNT- Its the only animated show I've seen out of the options listed so it gets my vote, but it is surprisingly good!

3. John Constantine- Amazing character representation, and hope he gets more love than the polls indicate so far. I hope they use him for the JLD movie whether the show gets cancelled or not!

Best Hero: HAIL CAESAR!!! Cap was incredibly close but I simply cannot deny how incredibly awesome Caesar is

Best Villain: Koba. I loved Winter Soldier but I didn't really see him as the villain per say. Magneto probably would have gotten my vote because he was incredibly menacing but I have to go with Koba. Koba was an extremely complex character and was ALMOST as compelling as Caesar was! He even felt pretty justified which usually helps make a villain great. At the same time though, I hated his guts. Probably one of the most compelling villains in recent memory.

Best Supporting Character: Falcon. LEGO Movie Batman was extremely close but I was so shocked with how badass Falcon was! He could have easily been a throwaway character but he ended up being incredibly memorable.

BTW, if you can't tell, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was my favorite movie of this year (which is saying a lot since it wasn't a superhero movie) and had two of the most incredibly compelling characters and they weren't even human.

Agreed 100%

Thank you for writing this....now I don't have to type it all out myself!

With Oliver challenging Ra's......does that mean Starling City is safe from the League of Assasins for now? Or did Ollie have to beat Ra's in order for that to happen?

I was a little unclear on that dialogue-stupid loud popcorn maker!

@loki2u: Mockingbird has been part of Coulson's team for almost half a season now.

Who? Lol

I want a top tier A-List hero or villain. The average person on the street would have no idea who Mockingbird is.

The subtle Easter Eggs, name drop teasers and desperate tie-ins are appealing to some, but this show lost me long ago with the much better DC shows that are available.

A person on the street wouldn't know who Iron Fist, Green Arrow, Luke Cage, Black Canary, etc is either. So are you just going to dismiss Arrow and they Netflix shows just because their not super popular heroes?

The Tie-in with Winter Soldier wasn't desperate it was something that couldn't, and shouldn't have been ignored on the show. It tied in, in a way that added something to both Agents of Shield and The Winter soldier. I can say that me and my whole family loved the cohesion between AoS and Winter Soldier.

Everything has Easter eggs, how is that a bad thing? The Human torch in Cap: TFA, Doctor Strange in Cap: TWS, The Infinity Gauntlet in Thor, Wakanda in Iron Man 2, Thanos in Avengers, Mjolnir in Iron Man 2, etc. Easter eggs are awesome!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree, and only time will tell how the ratings go for those shows, however, I think a big difference is that those particular shows are headlined by said superhero, whereas AoS is not. When I tune in to Arrow....I want to see his rogues gallery.....and I have. Same with Flash, same with Gotham, same with Constantine.

Ok, so Mockingbird is in AoS, but when I hear them tease about tie-ins to Age of Ultron and the Avengers....I want to see the Avengers!

I'm not sure what the ratings are like for AoS, I only know that they lost me as a viewer because there wasn't enough going on in the first season for me to keep watching. That's where DC is winning me over right now.

Soon Agent Carter will be coming out. Again....to the average person......who? I think for TV, to get a broader audience.....the hero or anti-hero needs to be somewhat recognized or at least throw in some names to get things rolling. I like what DC is doing with TV because they are able to introduce these bigger or lesser known characters which will build hype to the average person for their movies when they come out. Marvel seemed to do this in reverse (and it worked big time) by taking huge risks and introducing them with a solo movie.

I think the future for DC looks bright in their movie future as they are building a fan base in a slightly different way.

Maybe I'm contradicting myself, I don't know....but I appreciate the civil discussion nevertheless. So thank you for giving me something to think about! :)

Oh, and yes....I do appreciate Easter Eggs very much. But only if they are followed up on somehow.
