Why would you drop Superman? Lobdell is perfect for Superman. Hell, most of the plots from RHATO would've been better suited for Superman, and his Zero issue was great.

This is true. I did enjoy the zero issue, and haven't read the annual yet. I will hold on for a Lobdell arc until I make a decision.

To be honest, I dropped RHATO yesterday. I didn't enjoy it anymore....it was getting a little to out there for me. Like all the characters and their interactions, but that was about it.

As for Superman in general...I've just never really enjoyed how he has been written. I love him as a character, but don't enjoy his rogues gallery and have always found his stories too science fiction fantasy for my liking. I keep Action and Superman on my pull list to merely "keep in the loop" of whats going on...but its been a really long time since I've looked forward to reading him each month. Probably not since All-Star superman.

My thoughts anyways.

Ok, look. When this first started circulating as a rumor, the Superman title wasn't just mediocre. It was pretty bad. If the rumor was true, it meant that they new they had an under performing title and a creative team willing to beef it up, but decided to create a new title, rather than improve on the old one.

To be fair, they have a better creative team on Superman now than they did then, but that was the environment they were in when they made this decision. If they had come to the table and said, "Well damn, we have two pretty good teams that we want to put on Superman. I guess we have to make a new title to accommodate them." Then great. Fine. Take my three bucks (and let's be honest, it'll probably be four.) But now they're doing the same thing they did with Batman during the height of The Dark Knight and Arkham Asylum's popularity. I'm going to buy the book, and it'll probably be terrific. I would like nothing more than to see Superman be successful as a character. It just irks me. Fair enough?

A well thought out response. I agree 100%

I am very excited to see Snyders take on Superman, but would rather they just replace the creative team from the current Superman which I am going to drop now. I don't think there is a need for another Superman title.

I've never been a very big Superman fan, so I'm hoping Snyder and Lee can give me something to change my mind.

@Loki2u: A bit inappropriate for these forums; just an FYI since you're kinda new here :P

I honestly looked at and read the first bit of this article but I'm so tired I couldn't read it all. I'll read it tomorrow, but chances are that it's good LOL.

Get over yourself. You didn't even read the article, yet found the need to play Captain Moderater at 1:30 in the morning.

Just because I don't feel the need to post my opinions every chance I get, doesn't mean I'm new. ;)

God forbid they stray from the comic books! (Because that's never been done before)

We comment like we're the only audience comic book movies are made for.

Is it so hard to just enjoy seeing these visions become a reality and enjoy these shows that are usually targeted towards elementary kids and taken by parents who could care less as long as their kids are happy?

Nolan made the fanboys happy, so did the Avengers. Lets cherish those moments. To spew hate on something that may or may not even have a script at this point is such a waste of energy.

I remain optomisitc for a great time at the theatres in May of 2014.

I wonder if a two-part movie could work? Part one is the whole setup of story and characters with individual action sequences and part two a year later with the big finale! Kind of like what the Hobbit is doing or Lord of the Rings.

Just a suggestion. I don't think its necessary to have previous movies to establish characters, but I agree that 2.5 hours isn't enough to have a proper story with origins included.

Not sure if anyones interested, but Image is putting out some awesome books right now with original storylines and characters.

If you're tired of reading about men in tights check out what the smaller guys are doing. Saga, TOT, Fatale are all top notch!

Marvel lost my interest once my testicles descended.

Its easy to pick a top ten list when there's only about 10 comics coming out this week anyways. LOL

Batman Annual ftw.

Incredible Hulk #8 could be on this list.
