And... Viper joins Silver Fox as characters that shouldn't be mutants given mutants powers! They change characters so much that they could simply do their own films with other names and the same stories instead of using Marvel names to attract and disappoint fans...

It's amazing how they always pick some of the best sagas to destroy them in front of our eyes (God Loves Man Kills, Dark Phoenix Saga, Wolverine Origins with Rose... and now Miller run on Wolverine!! Yay let's destroy all comic myths!!).

I don't know if you've read the ending of X-Termination, if you haven't be warned:

SPOILERS ABOUT X-TERMINATION ENDING, DON'T CONTINUE READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE END OF THE CROSSOVER.

Ok, after warning, here's what happens at the end of the crossover: AoA Nightcrawler after seeing how Kurt Wagonner, a child version of NC from an alternative reality (in Dazzler's interdimensional team) sacrifices himself, realizes how much good his powers could do for the world and in a crucial moment he decides to follow the good ways of that child NC and sacrifices himself too by transporting the generator of a portal to the 616 world to the AoA world where the other door were and where some dimension destroyers were destroying that dimension to close the portal and avoid them from destroying the other realities too (like making a door direct you to the same room you're in).

I have to say that I've never liked AoA NC too much (Kurt along with Cyclops is my favorite character so an alternate version isn't a good enough replacement for me) and I've always seem him just as the example of Kurt powers potential without morals. But his ending was good, he decided to do good and ended up sacrificing himself (which makes 3 Kurts dying in self-sacrifice, 2 of them in the same event).

Now while the death was good, I think it could've been a perfect way to bring NC back, I was following the event without following any of the 3 series involved mostly because I was interested in NC possible return, given how much you can play with reality jumps and how 2 NCs were in the event so it was heavily related. When AoA NC sacrifices himself something could have happened, like 616 Kurt from Heaven strengthen him for finding good will in his heart and something as paradoxycal as bringing a reality portal exit to the reality where the other exit was creating an anomaly and in the process Kurt spirit being fused into the other Kurt body and making a return but not retaining some of his memories, specially the ones from being in Heaven or just small bits of it, remembering that it was an amazing experience but without making him crazy for the big jump from Heaven to earth.

IDK, that was just the first thing out of my mind, but I'm sure there would've been many ways to bring him back with all the ingredients in the event but at the end we basically have every single famous Nightcrawler killed.

As a religious character NC (whose spirit has already made an aparition stating that he was in Heaven and that they had the best beer in Wolverine's main series) it's very tricky to bring him back, and I think X-Termination had good ingredients for that with something like what I said so he could come back in an anomaly event so he would only have fragments of memories of Heaven so he wasn't obsesed with the drastic change from there to earth and stay the same good character we remember.

Now I guess I'll wait for the future Azazel and the Bamfs story in WatXM as that one (his father related to heaven and hell dimensions, multiple toon/chiby copies of him...) has potential for his return too... maybe all other NCs were killed to focus on the real NC when he returns?

No to Wanda and Havok. He nearly married her sister it's just icky. I actually thought Acuna drew Wanda like she was a golden age of Hollywood filmstar. I mean she's still completely unlikeable in the book but at least she looks good while being an uber bitch.

What I don't get, because it doesn't make sense is how Rogue could have killed Grim Reaper when he himself said he can't die while the Scarlet Witch lives.

Except the sexual tension moment I was talking about was with Wasp, not with Wanda. That was what I meant, the moment where Wasp sends all kind of clear signals about having sex with Alex and he says he is flatered but he thinks more complications won't be a good idea and she answered they should live without worries because they don't know how much time they have left and then the alarm interrupts them.

I loved this issue, the series started a bit cold, but THIS IS THE REMENDER I KNOW I LOVE, probably because he's getting things he built for in previous series so he can accomodate quicker to the new team. He's getting in form and I'm loving it.

I loved the portray of Magik, how she tried to show herself under her cold shell, showing human emotions and worrying and accepting Cyclops "freindship" hand but still struggling to tell the whole truth and not controlling her darker self. I have to say this is the best protray I've seen of her since her return.

The art "tone" was great, but there were parts I didn't like, many ties the colors seems like unfinished or just scribbled (there is one pannel showing Emma's shoulder from behind where the black is completly scribbled).

It has some great humor points, specially the Cuckoos scene and I totally loved the "jealous deadly gaze" Emma threw to certain character when she said Scott was handsome. I hope Emma and Scott end up together again, they deserve it and they're a perfect couple together.

To be honest, it's very probably that it was going to be revealed on the first page (which means, on the preview too) of next issue, and then develop the entire issue from that first page reveal, so knowing it before doesn't change much about the other twenty-some pages on next issue.

He was the obvious choice anyway given what has been happening with him recently.

They revealed the cliffhanger "casually" but to be honest it was the most expected pick.

I liked this issue, the Cuckoos-Emma relationship has a lot of writting potential, and what's happening with Magik seems interesting, I wonder what would the new "not-so-mysterious-now" recruit will think when the first think he sees after arriving is that.

My only disappointment is that only the Cuckoos and the other one were recruited, I had my hopes high for what Bendis could do writting Hellion, Mercury and other young mutants from Kyle and Yost times. In WatXM they're just losing potential to a bunch of mostly boring (except 2 or maybe 3, an even then those 2 or 3 aren't as interesting as the ones from that run) characters taking all the spotlight.

Arguments to join from the original 5:

- Cyclops: He won't be, because he's seen when the mystery character speaks, and he even gets to say "no". So it's not him.

- Angel: Is a very good candidate because the problems he's had recently with everything that is happening and Jean mind wiping him from having his own opinion and free will.

- Beast: I think this would be delicious, to see the young self of the man who risked reality to bring the young X-Men to the present to stop Cyclops, to join him instead just for the "in your face" moment. Not as probable as Angel, but would be absolutely delicious.

- Jean Grey: Despite the teachers talking about team Scott having a powerful telepath (which is no longer the case, but they don't know, and even if they do now they have the Cuckoos too), Jean might think she can shield her mind and act as a mole while at the same time exploring what happened all this time through old Scott. She shouldn't be able to shield herself against the Cuckoos, but lately she has been written a bit overpowered considering her age so who knows. Not the most probable scenario considering she seems to be the face of the title (despite how young Scott has been the real deal and a true badass :P).

- Iceman: Not really likely, he has been serving as the "pun/jokes" character, he lights the mood around and isn't particularly driven in any direction, he seems to go with the team's flow and just makes jokes every now and then. It wouldn't have as much potential as other characters if he left the team.

Now, it's possible that the original 5 stay together and the misterious character is another student. It wouldn't make sense for young Scott to say "no" as he hasn't developed a relation with any other student yet, but someone like Genesis changing sides would have some shock value.

As I said in a previous comment, I hope whoever changes side makes a good speech and drags even more young students to Scott and Emma's school. I'm hoping for Hellion and Mercury to join him too, this school is feeling empty and WatXM doesn't have enough pannels to develop the great characters from Kyle and Yost run, specially when they use those pannels for some irelevant/pathetic/uninteresting characters (some of them are cool, but most of the main student cast of that book sucks, specially when compared to the Academy-X team).

Loved the art here, this was the first time where we get to see where are Scott's eyes really placed behind his new mask and more or less it makes sense despite his vision is a bit obstructed, but at least it makes sense.

I've said this many times, but I love everytime Beast is reminded about how hypocrite he is. I've been disliking this character since he left Utopia on a tantrum (he hates Scott because it was necesary to delay his rescue on the Dark Avengers arc and he was tortured, Steve Rogers made Beast murder millions in an underground city and he was ok with that because it was Steve Rogers and not Scott, so this isn't about disagreeing with Scott's morals) and I miss the times when I used to enjoy reading him a lot. Right now I just enjoy everytime he's proven an hypocrite and that's a pity. The only good thing about him this issue is he looked less "ugly monkey" here, and more beastly but I no longer care too much about him (2 years ago I would've enjoyed him looking better).

I'm a bit disappointed that only the Cuckoos left for the new school, I was expecting some of the mutants from Kyle and Yost run to join too as they have a lot of potential but not in WatXM. Hellion was left with potential for something big and I would love Mercury taking a bit more attention.

My hopes is that whoever is this mysterious character at the end (I think it would be Angel, as he doesn't like what has been happening lately and was mindwiped by Jean last time he tried to use his free will) makes some sort of speech about why it makes sense, and drags even more students with him because that school is going to feel empty as it's right now.

Like I said in the review forum, I would love the whole Kyle and Yost cast on academy-x joining Cyke. At least a big chunk of them (Mercury and Hellions are my personal favorites, loads of potential and very underused).

Those were ver enjoyable young mutants. Every single atemp after that has been miles under them. Young Mutants, Generation Hope and the new "focal point" youngs from WATXM can't match them. I need them in the spotlight so badly... I don't knw why they were suddenly buried just when they had so much potential to make the jump.

Hellion reveres Emma and his personality is more suited for that team and he has disappeared since Quentin is the "bad boy" at school. The Cuckoos adore Cyclops and are Emma's girls and they would serve a purposse as "coordinators" for the team, controlling cerebra and asisting the team from their base giving feedback of everything. Mercury was receiving a lot of atential around the time of Utopia, but suddenly she and the others lost the spotlight to the bunch of boring characters from Generation Hope (which included another red head with a weird maleable body). It would be cool to see the relation between some of those mutants with Magik given their previous experiences with her too. Elixir while a very interesting character (omega potential and still buried, only recently appeared in a Wolverine issue and that's all) has his role covered by the new healer on Scott's team.

I would love to see Hellion, Mercury, the Cuckoos and others on team Scott (they need to fill their school if they want to call it a school after all). I think it's possible some of the adults join too as teachers. Husk and Toad, being a couple now, one constantly tortured by Wolvie and the other being ejected and having experience with Emma's Gen-X are good candidates (though Toad might not like to stand around Magneto too much, unless he changes his attitude towards him).

I don't think any of the O-5 will join. Jean with her new b*** hypocrite attitude would mind wipe any of them and force them to blindly join her. Young Cyclops and Beast would be the best candidates given their recent experiences, and Beast joining him would be a delicious hit to the new hypocrite modern Beast persona (yes, he's an hypocrite, when he decides to risk the universe to fulfill his wishes just because he's going to die anyway so he doesn't cares if he destroys the universe because he will die anyway, and still has the balls to blame Scott for anything he has done when Beast's body count with the Secret Avengers is superior to anything done by Scott, but because Steve told him it was right then there is no problem, it's called being an hypocrite... I miss so much old enjoyable to read Beast before writters made him this way...).
