WOLVERINE!! 0

Dog hunts down Logan. After a cage fight, Dog fights Logan hoping he will be tired and weak. But Logan soon gets the upper hand due to remembering his past and knocks out Dog. Rose comes to Logan's aid but trips and falls on to Logan's claws killing her. Logan runs to the woods...and the rest is history. Origin is a great read!! Any Wolverine fans should add this to thier collection....

Tyger Tyger Burning Bright! 0

Logan joins a wolf pack. As much as Logan has found a family with the wolves, he too has become very popular around the camp. Smitty even gave Logan a job involving dynamite. Cookie sets up Logan which results in a few deaths. Logan catches Cookie stealing from the departed and beats Cookie threatening to kill him. Logan storms off into the woods and fight the alpha wolf. Logan wins the battle and becomes the alpha male of the pack. Logan's grandfather send Dog to bring back Logan. ...

The Hunter 0

Logan is now becoming strong and realizing there is another side to him...a more animal side. Logan has found a friend in Smitty and an enemy in Cookie. There is also an uneasy relationship between Rose and Logan. Logan hunts deer, feeding Rose and himself. He is also a very hard worker at the mine. There is less action than the other issues but the characters are growing a changing. Art is super. Another 5 star issue....

Becoming Logan 0

Holy Crap!! Lots of death and pain! But then again, this Wolverine's life we are talking about. James witness of the death of his father causes his claws and mutant abilities to surface. Rose and James leave thier home and head for the British Columbia and work at a mine. This is a must read. I give it 5 stars....

Claws 0

Yet another great issue. This issue takes place about a year after the first issue. Characters are growing and changing. Dog has become colder and darker due to his drunken father. This is aparent when seen killing Jame's dog (sick...but great scene). Also, it is hinted, (or by fans rather) that "Dog" may in fact be Sabretooth. And at the end we are left seeing James reveal his bone claws....

ORIGIN!! 0

Finally a back story that gives Wolverine,s shrouded past some depth and meaning. Through Bill Jemas, Joe Quesada, and Paul Jenkins we get to see the boy that turns into the man everyone knows as Wolverine. Great story and characters along with great artwork....shouldn't be any less for Wolverine's Origin. Definitely a comicbook to add to your collection!!...

The Death of Silver Fox 0

It's Wolverine's birthday!!! This story takes place in the past and the present. The formating of it is really great. In the present, Wolverine remebers Sabreooth killing Silver Fox on his birthday. In the past the two fought for the first time and Sabretooth won. In the present, there are several murders in Madripoor that makes Wolverine believe it is Sabertooth. Sabretooth vows to try and kill Wolverine on his birthday. Great story by Claremont!...

Past Evils 0

This story moves from the main Madripoor storyline and deals with Wolverine's past. Years ago in Iraq, mercenaries tortured a nun. Today Wolverine seeks to avenge her. The art is not the greatest and Wolverine doesnt look like he should. Other than dealing with Wolverine's past the story is not that great. I give it only a 2.5. Next issue Wolverine is back in Madripoor and an old enemy arrives!!...

Teamup 0

To start with, the cover is great!!! Patch and Mr. Fixit team up and fight Madripoor's underground crime. They make a great pair (much like Wolverine & Spider-Man). Even though they work together, they both come into confict with each other. Mainly due to Patch's pranks. Lots of humor and action. Another great read!...

Mr. Fixit Meets Patch! 0

The story continues from the last issue. and the Hulk goes to Madripoor on business and come a cross Patch. I have always liked Hulk and Wolverine but I almost like them more as Patch and Mr. Fixit. The art is good as usual but the story slacks. The story picks up in issue #8. The Hulk is funny which makes up for the plot. I give it three stars....

Bad Karma 0

Wolverine and Karma take on General Coy and his henchmen (Bloodsport & Roughouse), inorder to free Lindsay McCabe, Jessica Drew, and Tyger Tiger. Lots of action and the good guys win...or do they??  If you liked the last five issues...keep reading, the story continues. ...

Fighting like a Wolverine 0

Another great action pack issue and great story by Chris Claremont. The best part is when Wolverine jumps out of a plane...to attack an enemy plane and then land in water! The friendship between Wolverine and Archie is great. As much as Wolverine is loner or wants to be a loner, he always has good friends around. Oh Yeah!! and a bunch of slice and dice...heads will roll!!...

Patch 0

Bloodsport and Roughouse are in town in hunt of Tyger Tiger. Wolverine becomes her bodyguard and investigates. Wolverine as Patch is great because he can't be Wolverine right now because the X-Men are "dead." Wolverine has a great group of friends in Madripoor: Jessica Drew, Lindsay McCabe, O'Donnel, Archie Corrigan, Police Chief Tai, and Tyger Tiger. He is like a leader to them. He protects them and is such a badass. Even though he's been with the X-Men for some time now, Madripoor is like a ho...

Saving Wolverine 0

Wolverine is possessed by the Black Blade and it takes Silver Samurai, Linsay  McCabe, and O'Donnell to save him. There is less action in the issue compared to the last two issues. Howere, there is a great i nterrogation scene preformed by McCabe. Over all a good issue and concludes the story of the Black Blade.     ...

The Black Blade 0

Another action filled issue. Silver Samurai comes to Madripoor in search of the Black Blade (The Muramasa Sword which becomes an important part of Wolverine's history in future story lines.) Wolverine and Silver Samurai battle and Jessica Drew is possessed by the Black Blade. Another great issue by Claremont....

Wolverine in Madripoor 0

Wolverine is his own ongoing series! This takes place around the same time as the events in Marvel Comics Presents: Save the Tiger and in Uncanny X-Men: The Fall of the Mutants. In this series, Wolverine spends most his time in Madripoor as Patch. The world believes the X-Men are dead.   Chris Claremont is the writer and John Buscema does the art. A great pair! This is one title to follow!  ...

Smells Like Teen Spirit 0

The mutant teens travle through Main, only to find trouble. They battle the Orphan Maker and save a kid from mutant haters. In the end, the kid was only born disfigured. At the school, Chamber and Penance share some apples! If you've read the last 3 issues, then read this one too. More great art from Bachalo! ...

Saving Penance 0

Penance battles Generation X, only Generation X is trying to help her, not hurt her. Penance only knows hurt, so she lashes out at anyone. We see more character development. Husk tries to hard to be the hero, olny endangering herself and others. Jubilee and Synch are teamed-up and prove to be a powerful pair. Later, Chamber clams down Penance and the two share a moment. If you are following Generation X, this yet another great comic book. stay tuned; it gets better!...

Give Penance! 0

To start off, Jubilee and Synch are two of my favorite Gen Xers. They are two of a kind. They give the story humor and a realism touch. Scott Lobdell, one of my favorite writers, is fantastic at characterization. In this story, we see friendship and a blending of relationships. Jubilee and Synch have been close friends from the start. We see Jubilee's frustration with Gateway, as he was responsible for her membership with the X-Men. She wants answers as to why he brought Penance to Generation X...

Chris Bachalo Rocks!! 0

First of all, I want to say that Scott Lobdell and Chris Bachalo should do all X-Men comics. They make a fantastic team.  Generation X is a good place for new readers to start. Even though mainstream characters and story lines cross through once in awhile, Generation X is still sparate form that of other X-Men titles. This is also a good comic series for young teens , via it deals with teen mutants and how they learn to use thier powers in a world where they are hated. This series takes place ri...

Wolverine Fights For His Love...Mariko. 0

Chris Claremont is one of the best writers of his time and the same goes for Frank Miller's art. This story is about Wolverine and his animal rage . Lord Shingen disproves of Wolverine but knows that his daughter, Mariko, loves him. Wolverine must prove his honor by fighting Lord Shingen with wooden swords and not his claws. Wolverine is good with a sword but Shingen is far better. Shingen gets several hits in making Wolverine mad. Wolverine uses his claws, as he lets his animal side get the bet...
