Not unless she wears the pants in the relationship. I imagine a proud Amazon likes to lord over her men.

If a relationship doesn't have ribaldry in it, it doesn't interest me, that's how cliche romance is.

I figured this out over a year ago, so I was rather pleased when at least 3 comics mentioned it this year.

But you know, if Joker feels any love for Harley at all, it means he's also faking his Sociopathy.

All I know is that he's clearly the best actor in Gotham.

Well, Gotham City Sirens 23 had a page of Joker & Harley kissing.

Not one person in my comics club responded to that positively.

Right now it's the only Batman series I will buy EVERY issue of. I'm rather character-specific & only buy issues of any series that my favorite villains are in. (This has advantages & disadvantages; I don;t know what's going on in the big storyline, but I know more about certain characters than other fans because they are my sole focus). I also just really like watching angry women break things & beat the shit out of people. The way the men are drawn disgust me physically.

I think her dependency on him is sad & pathetic, like an annoying cheerleader chasing after a gay quarterback or a woman who strove for years to get ahead in her career giving it all up after marriage to be a housewife & mother.
So in 21 Joker welcomes her with open arms & she melts like butter, but the description of issue 23 still gives me hope, as it indicates that Harley might have just walked into a trap.

The only person I can think of that needs more of a dramatic change than Harley Quinn is the Mad Hatter.

The Joker is 100%  sociopath with all the symptoms, including incapacity for love. The most he will feel towards Harley is like she is a dog he has had since he was a boy. That's a kind of love, an unromantic sort based on simply having been around someone tolerable for a long period of time.

Mad Love & the the Harley Quinn series are supposed to be part of the Timmverse/DCAU canon, like Batman Adventures, Batman & Robin Adventures, & Gotham Adventures. Harley may be the same in both continuities, but the Joker is not.

To me they are polar opposites.  I don't believe in good & evil, so it's more complex than that to me. I'm also a sociopath, so I don't see things the way most people do.

Batman for me embodies truth, depressing reality; the burden of knowing too much, while Joker is (depending on the writer) lies & either ignorant bliss or nonchalant carefreeness. (Writers who have little to no experience writing the Joker really play down his intelligence).

Batman represents tradition & the known, Joker represents change & the unknown. (mostly this comes from how the writers agree or disagree on the personality & mentality of the character & the solidness of their origins, & the Joker's life story is riddled with inconsistencies  & contradicting plot holes.).

Batman is thought-out restraint, Joker is impulsive free will.

Batman is a masculine sinewy sexually-active heterosexual, Joker is an effeminate scrawny chaste homosexual.

Batman is haunted by his past & is a pessimist, Joker optimistically looks toward the future.

Why do you guys insist on clinging to The Killing Joke for the Joker's past? Lovers & Madmen is more detailed & told from Batman's POV, while the bit of Joker's past from TKJ is told quickly from a compulsive lier's POV. I blame Red Hood: The Lost Days, Gotham Knights, & TKJ for this mess, as the Joker ever having been the Red Hood, along with the first 50 years of Batman, was supposed to be retconned by Absolute Crisis as having happened tin another part of the Multiverse.

In the DCAU comics, sure, but in current comics, nah. I think the only person the Joker has any kind of bond with is Batman. Joker sees Harley like a toy; something to play with, something he doesn't want to share, something that can be abused & disposed of. But also like a loyal puppy that forgives a stray kick in the side from an abusive owner.

The Joker is a sociopath. Sociopaths are quoted as having glibness & superficial charm, manipulative & conning, grandiose scene of self, pathological lying, lack of remorse/shame/guilt, shallow emotions, incapacity for love, need for stimulation (Batman), lack of empathy, poor behavioral controls/impulsive nature, irresponsibility/unreliability, promiscuous sexuality (possibly gay) & infidelity, lack of realistic life plan/parasitic lifestyle (using other people), &   Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility.

Just want to point out a plothole in GCS: Joker killed her Hyenas years ago in "A Clown At Midnight."

" I think he should be killed but eventually brought back or maybe even have a second joker come in.   Thanks for the videos G-man! Great work. "

That kind of already happened. The Joker was shot in the head & sort of became a whole new person after he recovered. Plus after RIP he was gone for about a year & a half.
