@HexThis: Great post, but as for your comment about the costumes, I'll admit the sexualize women, but you have to remember two things. One that many women like to look good, even when fighting evil. The greatest example being wasp, who designed I don't know how many costumes for herself and others one of which is Ms. Marvel, you example above. The other is that more than looks costumes must afford freedom of movement. The reason many superheroes wear skin tight clothing is that if affords freedom of movement, like wearing a second skin, (or in starfires case as little skin as possible). I assume (in comic reality) many women wearing those costumes wear them due to the freedom of movement they offer. The way I understand it, "thongs" despite looking uncomfortable actually offer freedom and ease of movement (if you get over the as bearing aspect) and women wear their costumes the same reason they would wear bathing suits.

@Comiclove5: I agree and love the ass shots, so sexy with the thong of her uniform.

Carol is not fat, she is realistically built. Most comic book babes (ducks and covers from feminists) are built like supermodels and waifs with big boobs on small waists to get as much of an hourglass figure as possible without being deformed. For those of you who read avengers the initiative remember cloud 9 and how self conscious she was about her appearance compared to the other girls? I think much like that, the comment on Carols weight is an inside joke on the way most female heroes are drawn.

@Hoarderofhilarity: Thor, because Thor is a god, while Carol is an augmented human.

This along with what happened to Hal Jordan's girl friend (the one stuffed into the fridge) caused an uproar from the feminists over the treatment of women (even women Heroes) in comics.

I agree that the colder Starfire is off-putting, but it's only issue one. Keep up with it to see if her new personality changes. She might return to "normal"

I agree with you. Also, it is a known fact that the adrenalin from life or death experiences gets the "juices" flowing. Given the careers of most superheroes, espiecally the human ones, is it any surprise that they would screw like rabbits after an adrenalin high?

I think it's potential both in learning, and retaining. As a child she and Reed built a sophisticated toy. I believe she has potential and has absorbed a vast amount of knowledge from Reed who I assume tutors her constantly.
