Heh, Leave it up to Bendis to give one of the most iconic heroes such a shitty death. What's this talk of Hulk being a monster anyways? After all that time so many writers put into making him into a hero, he was written as this brain dead atrocity who slaughters any one in sight.
And the fact that Hawkeye has a magic super Hulk-slayer arrow is almost comical. As if that's all it takes to kill the Hulk...which begs the question, why would clint need it? Banner is a human now, why would anyone need anything special to kill him? Bendis has no sense of continuity whatsoever. It's not like Pak explained that the sub-healing factor Banner had because of Hulk was gone. And for fucks sake Bendis grow some balls, either have hawkeye kill or don't. The whole "Banner approaching Clint" scene just sugar coats the whole situation: "Hawkeye isn't an asshole, you guys! Banner wanted this!" It's pathetic.
In either case, I'm glad Banner's dead, at least he'll be safe from further character bastardization.
He needed the arrow to be special in case Banner turned into Hulk and Hawkeye had to shoot him then. Not really defending Bendis but Banner said this himself to Clint.
Oh and if you thought screwing over Banner is over, Bendis himself said that he has plans for Banners corpse... Yep you heard it right, even after killing the guy he is still going to piss all over his dead body in some... I honestly shiver at the thought of what he will do with Banners corpse... probably turn it into some abomination or something...
I'd like to hear what these "Core values" of DC really are that The Power that Be (Johns, Didio, & Lee) are claiming to be getting back too. Even though it's only been 5 years, even I have a hard time remembering what DC was like Pre-Flashpoint. And is having the a major controversial moment in the Rebirth Special really the way to get back to those core values? IDK.
Lastly, reducing the price of every comic is great, but by double shipping all the flagship titles it's actually forcing your fans to spend more per month, so don't expect me to jump for joy over that.
Are you saying you'd rather pay $4 for one comic rather than $6 for two?
It is still 2 quid more a month and if you buy multiple DC comics which will be published fortnightly the iincrease is quickly going to mount
When is Spider-Man coming back to the team? I mean he has to come back. Right? And is Gambit even in this issue or is the cover more false advertisement?
Duggan revealed Spidey isn't coming back and Cable has taken his spot
We saw Zoom fighting Jay Garrick in the first couple of episodes....they're not the same person. However, I think it's pretty likely his Earth-1 counterpart is.
We also saw the Reverse Flash fighting Wells in season 1...
