Whoa!! This is going to be Marvel's best TV show since. Maybe now they'll stop cancelling their shows. They should've hired the Man of Action (actually the Men of Action since there are four of them) a long time ago. Just look at the success that they had on Ben 10 and Generator Rex. Yeah these dudes know what they are doing. Hope it doesn't mess with the flow of Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and Generator Rex, nah I don't think so, It'll just make them better at what they do for their TV series. Man Ultimate Spider-Man is one awesome TV show, I wish April would come already so I could watch this. Marvel needs to release more-and-more trailers so that I can watch it 5 times in a row.
For one Spider-man doesn't need any of these gadgets. For two is this a symbiote Iron Fist?
Its "Venom" bonded to Iron Fist. Also, Venom isn't a symbiote in this series, and theres no Eddie Brock. This is what the writers said about Venom:
“Venom actually has a completely new origin that we think the fans are really going to like in the series,” teases Wilcox. “I can’t really tell you too much about it without spoiling, but the symbiote has a link to Oscorp.” “There’s an evolution to the suit in our series. It starts out in a more as a goo form, and then it becomes closer to the actual suit and continues to evolve further into something kind of frightening.”
Are you all drunk? This show looks irredeemably awful.
Why does it look so bad?
EVERYTHING! The writer (Bendis??? REALLLY!?!?!?), the voice actor, the concept, "Venom". All terrible.
The voice acting for spider-man is more than appropriate given his age, geekyness, and tongue in cheek attitude. And j. jonah's voice was also a nice fit. I agree that Nick Fury is decidedly bland but you can't win them all.
The writing is for a kids show on the Disney Channel so you have to take it with a grain of salt. Also Brian Bendis has done great work in his career. He has done crappy work as well but it's naive to shoehorn all of his work into the unreadable category.
I saw about half a second of venom in the clip above. I realize Venom is near and dear to your heart but is there more info on this incarnation of venom I'm missing? I think there wasn't nearly enough to give away in the clip to demonize this appearance. And as it's his first appearance he's likely to morph into something closer to the Venom we saw in 1610 if not 616. Also once again it's a kids show and it's supposed to be fun and slightly different from the source material.
It looks like a mix between Spectacular Spider-man and the Teen Titans. Also the mechanics of the action sequences look great which is something that animated movies and television shows have only recently gotten right.

I guess we all have our opinions. I just think Drake Bell makes a crappy Spider-Man. May be its just me missing Josh Keaton, but I think he should have been the main voice instead. JJJ I have no problem with, although I do agree Nick Fury's voice does sucks.

I agree Bendis has done SOME good works (Daredevil and Ultimate Spider-Man, the comic for instance) but most of it is crap. The fact that they put him on this cartoon is a major letdown.

Venom in this series is not even a symbiote, there is no Eddie Brock, and it looks like "Venom" won't even need a host. Now I know I'm a Venom fan and you're not, but for me, this is beyond stupid.

Please don't compare this garbage to the Spectacular Spiderman. This show isn't anywhere close to it's league.
I'm not displacing anger at you, it's just that they cancelled Spectacular Spiderman this pile of waste that has left me furious.
DCAU was... AWESOME, but this is different, not all the cartoons are like that, and YOU know it, how many cartoons do you watch?
Outside Adventure Time, I am unable to enjoy anything on the TV, the DC animated universe was rare gem that would never happen again, unless Marvel think to do it, what I don't think that would happen anytime soon (just because Loeb).
Fair point, fair point. I just dislike the stigma that cartoons are automatically for children, when they can easily used for adult story telling. It seems the only time it's okay for a cartoon to be adult is if it's anime or Family Guy (which I hate). It's the same thing for comic books unless you throw Watchmen at somebody's face, which is the only accepted adult comic among non-fans.
As for what cartoons I watch: I will watch the Timmverse of course, X-Men Evolution, some of the 90s Marvel cartoons (which are a bit hard to swallow), Teen Titans (the season finales didn't suck. All I'm saying), I tried to watch Young Justice (if for no other reason than that it has a small possibility of better), Clone Wars (the REAL Clone Wars. The 3-15 minute long Clone Wars) and sometimes older things out of pure nostalgia.

I never said that, I like Adventure Time (is a cartoon), there is a lot of cartoons that are meant to be for all ages.
It's the same thing for comic books
Oh yeah, this is true...

Oh really? Well, some non-fans enjoy my comics, I have watchmen but I show to them stuff outside Alan Moore (I think is kinda heavy for some people).

Oh, well I meant current cartoons, sorry...
Well, as I said the DC animated Universe is a rare gem, is one of the few cartoons that I am able enjoy as much as I did as kid, JLU is my favourite one; Teen Titans, I can't stand it, I used to like it as kid, but now, is painful to watch; I haven't watched Young Justice; Clone Wars, the first Clone Wars, was PERFECT, the animation was amazing.
I always cringed at the cornier aspects of Teen Titans, but I liked the season finales and the episodes relevant to the finales.
I have a thing for nice 2D animation. I hate the 3D look and Anime... eh. I watch some Anime purely for the fact that some of it actually has mature storytelling.
@JediXMan: Oh well, what I used to like as kid is the fact that I was unaware of Slade's identity, when I got more into comics I discovered that there never was a mystery about Slade, his real name has been Slade Wilson the whole time, that ruined the entire series for me.
I have no problem with 3d animation, I enjoy that in Pixar/Dreamworks movies, but in cartoons the 3D animation is pretty much mediocre.

To be fair, this series are meant for kids, we shouldn't watch cartoons.
Edit: Also Bendis wrote the Original Ultimate Spider-man and I love those series.
I have absolutely no shame in watching a cartoon, if its well done. For example, I watched the entire Spectacular Spider-Man series multiple times with 0 problems. EDIT: I'm 19 BTW
This looks like it will be almost nothing like the Ultimate Spider-Man comic.

You should give Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes a try. Its really well done and stays true to the comics, unlike this garbage.

Spectacular Spider-man was AWESOME and COOL, there is no problem in watching cartoons, I watch Adventure Time (I am 20 years old, BTW).
This looks like it will be almost nothing like the Ultimate Spider-Man comic.
Almost? This is nothing like the comic, this has more much things in common with the Looney Tunes that with Ultimate Spider-man.
hey i don't know anyone else but i look forward to this spiderman... and it isnt that bad looking, new show, new plot, new kind of characters, same name and hopefully the same humor as well.
