So, we're going to pretend Superman can shug off a herald of Galactus because Sentry can... you guys... really... and the Attuma point was ignored? As well as pretending his feats don't count because of his mental instability... a PIS rule, which would need to be on to give Superman a chance at doing Sentry any damage. The same point being Gladiator whoever mentioned above, in the instance where PIS/CIS rule is on, that's the only way characters could beat these beings in a one on one fight. Static, Sentry destroyed a cosmic weapon endowed with the power cosmic that slices through planets, I haven't read the story in awhile, I remember Sentry no-selling an attack from Terrax using the axe. Those feats, coupled with containing a cosmic cube from rupturing.... dwarf Supermans might.
As for the power of a cosmic cube, the object that can control the fabrics of reality > anything Doomsday has ever done.

What Terrax did is an attribute of his weapon..not his actual power.You take Terrax's axe away and he can't destroy anything close to a planet..not even a moon.Trading blows with Namor doesn't make Attuma that powerful..Venom did it and Namor is 60 classes above him.
Sentry is nowhere near Superman's level.We have yet to see him really do anything as of late and I am quite certain the Sentry we saw since becoming an Avenger is not even close to as powerful as Classic Sentry.
As a result of having that weapon, he's sliced planets apart and has re-arranged matter. I'm glad you've brought that up, because it was Sentry who casually broke that same axe without so much as acknowledging Terrax as any kind of threat to him.
And, uhm, when your arch-rival is a class 100, and you trade blows with said rival as well as several Avengers, you've got class 100 durability. Do you want to know who else Venom gave trouble to? Juggernaut... That doesn't mean that Juggernaut is to weak to harm Venom, it means that the writer has written the character at the height of it's popularity to be a threat to beings that are in the class 100 range. What makes more sense, Venom, a character that's been beaten by Spiderman... giving Attuma, Namor, or Juggernaut (hell even Superman) trouble, ever. Or, the writer wanking the character to appeal to the fans of Venom?

You're talking like he's been downgraded. His feat's he's had since ripping carnage in half is still perfectly valid. Why would you say otherwise?

Yes he can beat Superman. Reason being, the best feat Superman has displayed as far as might, towing the Earth by himself although the art and the dialogue of Green Lantern making that feat ambiguous at best. Whereas Sentry no sold a herald of Galactus... A PLANET BUSTING herald of Galactus. Without the slightest effort he put the fear into a weilder of the power cosmic. Something Superman could never do.

Okay... lets cut through some of this here...
Sentry beating Terrax is a low end feat simply because Terrax has been shown to be one of the weaker Heralds
Attuma is no where near Superman level in terms of strength at all... so Sentry beating him isnt that impressive either

Well, considering Terrax has destroyed a planet in one hit, I hardly think belittling the character in comparison to the other heralds holds much weight to that point. Attuma... the same being that's traded blows with a class 100 namor was beheaded in one shot, I'd say damn well that's a feat in itself.
Containing a cosmic cube as in containing it from rupturing. With his bare hands. Doesn't make sense? What about Superman holding a "mini-black hole."
P.S. As far as stalemating Galactus, I'm iffy on the feat as well... the point was, Sentries feats dwarf supes. Although Supes might have a speed advantage, he's hardly got the power output matching a herald of Galactus let alone Galactus himself, even if he was hungry.
