Even though this might be a reach, I can easily see where this would be an idea that Bruce would consider.  But having said that, if I push the thought further in the future, I can see where a possible story would be the killing of the international Bat-men as well as the massacre of the school's students.  Bruce gets back to his really dark, nearly psycho roots...even to the point where Damien thinks he's a little overboard.

I was a very casual comic guy until 6th grade.  That's when I met another kid who was VERY into comics and would spend free time drawing his own.  I thought that was pretty cool and we started talking comics and drawing our own (someone had "Red Ray" and someone had "Blue Beam").  That kid always knew he wanted to have a career in the comic world and to heck with the people who said "yeah, sure". 
 
By the way, that classmate of mine from Tecumseh Elementary (NY) was Tom Brevoort.  To this day I still enjoy comics - and my son is a huge comic fan and my daughter is deep into the Anime scene.  Tom infected my whole family :)
