Third day of deployment.

They were in the tunnels now, trying to find a way further into the mountain range. A task force made up of members of the 117th, some of the more brash and daring of the Legion.

Jhen Brego was the first to sign up. His friend Lorandis Manrak is dragging him to safety after a partial forced cave-in. His legs are crushed and he's bleeding profusely. The Dark Trooper Strayfer Drokan is covering for them, bursts from his sonic blaster pushing rebels back but they're already gone. Hit and run tactics at their finest.

"Jhen, you stay with me you hear? Wake up damn yo-"

Lorandis chokes back tears. He hoists the body into a fireman's carry and hustles out of the tunnels. It is just one of many of the close-quarter battles being used to pry and test the Imperial way into the fortresses.

The 117th takes heavy losses.

I miss the days when directors could get away with ballsy stuff like that heh. Torturing actors to get the best out of them.

Like how William Friedman actually fired a shotgun during the telephone scene from The Exorcist to get a rise out of Jason Miller.

People like to make fun of how the actors were performing but Stanley Kubrick actively tortured them on set, often going into the triple digits with how many takes he put them through.

On the other side of the spectrum, fans also ruin the movie by trying to find meaning in absolutely everything. There's a fan flick called Room 237 that's just about 2 hours of theories. Some make sense, but most are drivel.

One of them is that the hotel is actually haunted by the It creature from Derry. Not a bad theory, really.

Overall maybe something with more "face" than various troopers. Jhen isn't gonna live for very much longer, heh.
