X-Men Characters that Really Rock

These are the characters that I think are awesome, male or female, and I'll explain why they are on here. They can be heroes or villians.

List items

  • Why should he not be on here? He's an Omega level bad ass with the power to ice anything that moves. I've always had a crush on Bobby (curse you Lorna and Mystique, you two got lucky!) And he's got an amazing personality for a superhero but it also shows that he's a normal person too. He's cool! (pun intended of course)

  • Out of all of the characters Marvel has, X-23 is by far my favorite. While most people see her as the typical "Emo kid," I totally love how they're taking this "weapon" and giving her so much life and personality, even if she still is a walking human weapon. She may have been born in an unusual way but she has human feelings. I especially love the romantic tension between her and Hellion and I really hope that the writers continue to develop it.

  • What ISN'T there to love about Rogue? This former villain has come a long way from her Brotherhood days, even becoming the leader of her own part of the X-men! I really like this new twist, where she can now control her powers. It really makes her seem like nothing can stop her, and with the attitude to match, Rogue is one hell of an opponent for any villain who wants to mess with her.

  • Emma Frost is the opposite of Jean Grey (- the phoenix) in every way. Raunchy, Promiscuous, sardonic, she is one woman NOT to piss off. I like how far she's come from the total skank that she was back as the White Queen of the Hellfire club. I never really liked her truthfully, but then again I absolutely HATE Jean Grey, mostly because that woman never stays dead. Emma's earned my respect for making Cyclops FINALLY grow a pair.

  • Ahh Julian, how I adore thee. I think he'd be a great wielder of the Phoenix Force, but then again, the last thing we need is another Omega Level Telekinetic. However, Julian has come a long way from being the stereotypical ass to a true hero that Cyclops would be proud of. Although Julian is in dire need of Anger Management, I think that's another reason why he and X-23 would make a good couple. I really hope they do get together!

  • Sam Gunthrie is such a loveable dork. He's always been such a goofball but at the same time, such a hard worker. I love the fact that he's been more mature lately, especially after Jay died (WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE! I WAS SAD). He's really grown up from his Jet-Ass days.

  • Kevin Ford, the untouchable Mutant. Once just a kid trying to cope with his curse. Now a psychotic Vampire-mutant who's the bosom buddy of a crazy Immortal Vampire with a fetish for risque lingerie. He's now a villain and even killed one of the X-Men's students (Hey, bad! Detention for you!) I hope he survives Necrosha (Although I hope his Bed Buddy gets the boot, Selene's overdue) Because I believe he could become a major villain. I can't wait to see him vs Josh! DUN DUN DUN.

  • Dear Paige Gunthrie,

Why aren't you in comics more often? You have such a cool power and like your brother, you have a natural ability to be a super leader. Although you had a relationship with two guys that both ended up being moody, you are still a strong woman and I'm glad to see you at least get some screen time, if you will call it that, in Necrosha. But Paige, don't make me sad. Please appear in comics more.

    -K.K.

  • At first, when Emma made Surge the leader of the New X-Men, I was like "Lady are you on crack? Surge is a ticking time bomb, she can't do..." and after the next few issues and arcs, I ate my own words. Hellion would have not been as good of a leader as Nori is, and despite the fact that those two "hate" each other, they act so alike. When Nori kissed Julian, however, I got pissed because I'm a big supporter of Laura/Julian and I was like "Bad Nori, bad!" although I figured out easily why she did it. I know she and David broke up but there are a lot of hints that they still have feelings for each other, and I really hope that they can reconcile and at least become friends again.

  • Thank you..thank you for bringing Illyana back to Marvel Comics! She was always my favorite New Mutant and she's even more feisty than Magma (although Magma's a bit of a firecracker too). Although this isn't the REAL Illyana, I don't really care for the details. I'm just glad she's back!
