@willpayton:
1. No one is saying science has to have 100% facts. It doesn't matter if a theory has a ton of support, it still is just a possibility. You can't criticize religion for not being 100% true and then going up to prop up science. The Bible/Quran/etc have some true things in it that even science has supported.
2. While I do believe that the Big Bang did happen and evolution is occurring. It is blind faith, they do have support, but we do not know enough about the universe or even Earth for us to come into a solid conclusion that these things are occurring or occurred.
3. In terms of the flat Earth thing, although some Ancient Greeks did believe the Earth was round, the majority of people in the world thought it was flat. And no it was not obvious to the people back then because the majority of people thought the world was flat, even Amerigo Vespuci(don't know if spelled correctly) still believed the world was flat although he travelled to the Americas.
4. Like I've said there are some things that science hasn't and maybe will never discover/disprove. Life is a bunch of contradictions, humans are walking contradictions themselves.
5. If you think it's ignorant for someone to not believe in the BBT, what do you think about the scientists that believe in God like Einstein? Are they wrong in their belief or ignorant or is belief in God the exception to your rule?
6. I haven't seen your posts in the religion thread, but why does it concern you that people believe in a deity. I understand that people, who insult atheists can be annoying, but you're doing the same things to religious people if you're pressing your beliefs and saying God is fictional and can't be proven by logic and science?
