The guy who killed Jason Todd (turning him into what he is now), crippled Barbara Gordon (turning she, also, in a way more interesting character) and was the cause of A LOT of trouble for the bat. The guy is our hero's exact opposite. One stands for order, the other, for chaos, one stands for justice, the other, for crime...
All Joker's actions were based on trying to turn Batman into something like himself, since he can't stand a image of someone like Bruce. Or Big Bat spent a lot of time thinking about the Joker too, since he's constantly tryiung to understand what goes on the clown prince of crime's mind. So, Joker is obviously the first place on this list.

Ra's is a immortal guy who worked his ass off to monopolize the Lazarus Pits around the world in order to have time enough to put his megalomaniac plans in action. He simply wants fully control of the world in order to turn the relationship between human race and the planet itself more harmonic. Ra's was responsable for a series of important events in the Dark Knight life... He "revived" Jason Todd, and thanks to his daughter, Batman has now a kid named Damian. Also, his league of assassins is all around the world, always giving some trouble to Nightwing, Red Robin and others. So, that's why Ra's earned the second spot on the list.

This guy, besides the fact that he is the personification of Batman's worst failure, is also a incredibly well-written character. Jason Todd is constantly haunted by the feeling that he was never as good as Dick, and the sense that Batman moved on his death way to fast, since a little time latter Tim had already the Robin's mantle for himself. Everytime he shows up, he shakes Bruce's head badly... So i think those were reasons good enough to give to Jason the third place.

Bane spent his whole life locked up in jail paying for a crime he didn't commit. What kept him alive for all this years was pure RAGE and INSTINCT, turning him in someone capable of even survive with a huge amonut of poison in his bloodstream. He became a brilliant and very huge man, and in his first encounter with the Bat, he simply unleashes all the crazies from Arkham to exhaust Batty, only to break his back moments latter, keeping him alive just to make him taste the shame for the rest of his life. GO BANE!

I know... This guy showed up late, but this spot is meant to be his. Dr. Hurt is a creepy devil workshiper and a Wayne ancestor who planned the greatest plot to destroy (almost) completely the Caped Crusader, a plot that took years to be executed. He made Jezebel Jet break Batman's heart, literally drove the Bat insane with the whole Zur-En-Arrh thing, just to destroy him also physically in front of the whole Black Glove and the Joker moments later.

Like Todd, Two-Face is also a personification of a huge mistake of Batman. Dent was a promising savior of Gotham in the early years, as a district attorney, turning the job of Bat and Gordon to clean up the city much easier. But Bruce hesitated to show Harvey his true identity,in order to incentivize him, and a bunch of acid was thrown at Dent's face, turning him in what he is today. So, for rubbing at Batman's face everytime they encounter that he's responsible for turning the savior of Gotham into one of it's worst enemies, Two-Face gets the sixth spot.

Well, she's not always a villain, but she is the girl who most attracted the Big Bat. In some occasions, Batman actually ignored some of Catwoman's crimes, for the name of LOVE... The girl also has awesome moves when she's willing to fight and know how to handle a whip(i hope it didn't sound maso).

This guy is so brilliant that he simply deduced Batman's identity while he watched TV and ate crackers at his place. He's so obsessed with Batman that he improved himself physically just to be a fair opponent to the Black Bat, and is also constantly caught dressed up as him. A brilliant surgeon, capable of actually restoring Harvey's face and cut off Catwoman's heart off while still keeping her alive, Thomas Elliot had his mind corrupted by his creepy parents, who made him envy Bruce's life, his childhood best friend. He was even capable of operate his own face making him look just like Bruce to steal his identity. Everytime Hush shows up, you can expect resourceful plots to bring Batman and Bruce Wayne down.

This girl messes with Batman's head. She can seduce every single human being with some sort of pheromone (not that a hot red head like her needs it). She can also manipulate every form of botanic life. Despite of being super cool and hot, she also is responsable for great storyarcs and challenges for the big bat.
