Started very intriguing only to end with cliche 0
I did not really care for the looks, but the beginning was very engaging. This short makes amazing use of its limited running time of about 15 minutes. Does not work as part of Nolan-verse, but is amazing as STAND ALONE 0
Even though, this is not part of any continuity (it definetly does not fit well with the Nolan-verse), these stories are kinda suposed to show the early career of Nolans Batman and we do not have many of those in animated form.The quality of the stories, the animation and the narrative are mixed, but still still on the very positive side of the spectrum.If you look for something straight foreward and classic, then do not let your expectations overshadow this massive collection of awesome!1. Well... this definetly is NOT the Jenkins movie. There is some true cringe in it with the playfull nude amazons in the lake, or some of Steve's coments. It is not offensive, but 10 years later it does stick out, especially when the dialogue is about how men are all bad, but then we get a tit shot while she is getting dressed.I never have anything against "fan service" (for example I do not mind the Catwoman strip from the SHOWCASE strip) but the message of Wonder Woman kinda is way out of sync w...

While cinematiccally not as amazing as BATMAN BEGINS, this is still an incredible adaptation directed mostly at teens and (young) adults.The atmosphere is very dark, the characters are ruthless and the fights are bloody.Beautifully animated - no really, this thing looks amazing.One thing I did not really like, was Batmans voice, other than that, this can sit proudly next to BATMAN BEGINS.Running time of 60 minutes never lets it outstay its welcome.Rating:Animation: 9/10Character Design: 10/10Nar...

Visual gore mixed with a deeper meaning 0
This is a quite simple tale of two fractions having to kill one another. It is not their vicious nature, it is not what they want to do, it is what life forced them to.The story is told really great, almost like Garth Ennis used to write the Punisher. I was less than impressed with the first 3 or even four episodes, but the trip to Russia changed all and the show grew on me to the point where I am now totally hyped to see how it will end. Although Matt's story moves through well known paces, it still manages to be fresh with characters both believable and likable. We see how mundane people try to manage this extraordinary situation, while at the same time dealing with their private life's. This must be a challenge not only to the characters themselves, but to the author who manages to fit all this in just a few pages. Linda's art is amazing, her facial expressions go toe to toe with her husbands. All this sums to a must read!...

After such a long wait I feel this one to be a disappointment.The story itself is mostly the accelerated ending to Hine's Darkness run, which is acceptable, but it does not really get anywhere in this issue.The only interesting thing was, how Sara over-boiled with anger, maybe this is enough when we have both issues, but for now, this was a quick 10 minute read.In my opinion the art was a major down side. In the past there were a lot of great comics I read, but this one stands high above many other titles (I've read).The story is mighty intriguing, the art is striking and the tissue connecting this back to the other titles of the reborn Top Cow Universe is amazing.A must buy and a hype multiplier for the IX Generation!...
