Despite trying to be a fun issue I find it irritating that DC insists on coating their new 52 books with a dark and dreary tone. In this issue we have criminals terrorizing kids on a school bus, then Tim's out of character ambivalent response to the henchmen getting killed. Aside from that this new Titans book seems to be pointed in a better direction character wise (except Tim right now). And the art was pretty stunning.

Smaller pile of comics for me this week...

Teen Titans #1: looking forward to Rocafort's art

Robin Rises Omega: Kubert art...oh yeah

Original Sin #6: loving this

Batman Eternal #15: life is good when you get a weekly dose of this awesome comic

I'm debating whether to get Futures End or not, it seriously needs to pick up more to hold my interest.

Star Wars #19 - so sad this series is coming to an end soon.

Batman Eternal #14 - the best weekly series DC has put out so far.

Detective Comics #33 - the art in this is absolutely gorgeous.

Futures End #10 - losing interest a bit but some parts are intriguing, hope it picks up.

Amazing X-Men #9 - like this book but disappointed McGuiness doesn't draw every issue.

Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #3 - being a huge Master of Kung Fu fan I eagerly hopped onboard this, so far interesting but not exactly what I expected, so far I'm sticking with it.

@allstarsuperman: Same thing with me. I read the first issue thinking it be okay but I really liked it. The art style is not usually my bag but it definitely suits the whole Flash Gordon "serial" look they got going on with this series. Plus it was so much fun to read.

This book is gorgeous. I found myself staring at pages throughout and just taking in the stunning artwork. I don't do that too often when I read comics so I knew this was special. Bravo to Manapul and Buccellato, fantastic stuff here.
