Yeah because there's no way he'd just be covering his ass so he can work again. With the bad reception of this film it's pretty obvious he won't be working with Fox again so it seems simple enough to put all the blame on them. Not saying they aren't to blame though they've been shady in the past. Most likely both parties are to blame.
Disney already fired him from Star Wars so I'd say he is also part of the problem with the FF film.
