In the Marvel Universe, only Uncle Ben stays dead...

So, one of the X-Men just died in the AvX story... SO WHAT? He's already died three times and come back... In fact, MOST of the well known X-Men have died and come back at least once...

Johnny Storm died not long ago... Marvel made a big deal of it... "ONE OF THE FF WILL REALLY REALLY REALLY DIE!!!!" And he did... ANNNNNNND then he came back...

Cable died defending Hope and Utopia.... and he came back....

Death and resurrection is practically a requirement to even be ON the X-Men's team...

How many times has Spider-Man died and come back? How about Captain America? Bucky has died at least two or three times...

It's freaking ridiculous. And Mavel had the balls to have an issue during Fear Itself where the Black Widow tried to convince a Newspaper that Bucky was REALLY REALLY REALLY dead.. and she was lying...

Death in comic books means nothing. they will come back and likely be stronger than before...

So, a super hero dies in the comic books... Yawn.. stretch... and they try to guess how long it will be until they are back...

Let's see... everybody except Uncle Ben and the Waynes have been brought back to life.

You have absolutely zero proof that real death is nothingness. That's one of the most highly debated concepts in science.

We have no idea what lies after death and to think that we do shows on arrogance on the part of the human species. Their could be anything after death. We simply don't know.

Um, this wasn't about resurrection. This was about the fact that you don't die in comics, you go to another dimension. This is canon in DC and Marvel.

You wouldn't retain your past identity, because that identity is dead and you'd be born a completely different person. Hence your being born again. But anyway, won't get into this argument and all so stopping here.

Okay.. yeah, it was one of those, "Hi, I'm here for a quick visit things" right? Peter was sort of hopping through another dimension and seeing different people from his past... Uncle Ben does make an appearance near the very end and then he fades away... So, since this was in a different dimension, and since Uncle Ben didn't come back and stay, I think we can safely say this was not a case where the character actually came back to life....

But he DID make an appearance as a live person in a twisted sort of temporary dimension hopping thing....

Aang stayed dead....... But thats not really a comic
