They should be mixing constantly. Millions of mutants there should be at least a few smaller characters who want to join or get recruited by the avengers it's not the JL they don't keep the same core characters. It's how you get characters like Magik never interacting with the other mystics or Forge never appearing even though he should be one of the most important characters in the universe
Never cared for X-men being Avengers. Beast was one and still had to worry about Sentinels, despite being a government sanctioned super hero. Crossovers and temporary team ups are cool, but I prefer when they are at odds.
You could apply that to non mutants like Hulk who get similar treatment. Mutants and Avengers were only at odds in Cyclops revolutionary era
@chimeroid: wouldn't the water hand make it worse? Like new52/rebirth aquaman is a swimming brick with a pitch fork pre 52 aquaman had straight up mind control in some instances
Rebirth showed Aquaman having the power of mind control. He just doesn't use it. Other people who somehow gain access to his power or share similar power demonstrate it instead. For example, one of the demons who syphoned a taste of Aquaman's power was using it to mind control Bizarro clones.
Pre-Flashpoint Aquaman used telepathy more. Post-Flashpoint demonstrated physicals better and demonstrated magic trident more, especially post-Rebirth.
It doesn't matter which version when both can handle Wolverine easily.
He can't even beat Manta easily who has worse feats than Logan
