@Dark King:
You don't appear to have nearly as strong a grasp on what the Milestone and McDuffie as a writer was about as you think.  The Milestone universe was diverse, not because it wanted appeal to one small subsection of comic fans, but because it reflected the diversity of the real world.  The characters came from a variety of backgrounds, culturally and ethnically speaking, and exhibited a wide range of personality and character traits, some of which fit preconceived stereotypes and some of which completely went against those stereotypes. The milestone Universe was, on the whole, no different than any other comic universe with the exception of having Black creators closely identified with most of the characters.
Why is it that characters associated with black creators get tagged as being part of the creator's attempt to "shove their agenda" down our throats while white creators have the freedom to simply create characters as they see fit?
The Milestone Comics contained characters that could easily appeal to any reader, assuming they were able to get past the race of either the characters or creators and instead focus on the story being told. It says more about the reader that sees comics featuring minority characters in lead roles as being "black comics" instead of just "comics".
