He wasn't exactly holding back when he gained Superman's powers in issue ?? of Superman/Batman, and I also recall that he regretted it a bit when he lost them again.

I think he'd use them, provided there were no strings attached. I'd love to see more stories around this (not earth prime though).

I thought you meant music....

So did I.

Anyway, I voted for all 3 anyway. I have yet to see B:TAS (they are on my table, waiting), but I've seen too many good takes from it, and the main theme from AC is a regular on my playlist, as are 'Imagine the Fire', 'Rise' and 'Risen from Darkness' from TDKR.

I didn't know it was possible, but even if I didn't, I wouldn't. I want comics to continue coming out every month, without quality going down (and preferably up). That won't happen if everybody just downloads. You can argue about semantics all day long, but that fact won't change.

I use the DC app for monthlies (don't read Marvel and don't intend to start), and amazon.co.uk + 1 national comics shop for trades.

That said, I'm not a saint. I have downloaded abandonware and music which literally cannot be bought anywhere (trailer music - though that is fortunately starting to change. Some albums are out now). If there were a comic which I couldn't get legally in any possible way, I might consider getting it 'otherwise'.

Doesn't this belong in the battle forum? Anyway, I voted before reading the entire OP, so I voted according to my favorites overall, not who'd win in a battle.

I will never understand why it is so completely incomprehensible that Batman *in certain scenarios* can beat Superman ... but Superman can totally have an archvillain that is largely the same as Batman (as in, unlimited resources, power suits, genius etc.). If Superman can never, *ever* be defeated by a human, what's the point of reading any comic with Lex Luthor in it? Superman is basically just humoring him.

Anyway, nice blog; I agree with you. Sneak-attacks especially is what I'd bet on.

Uhm... NO!

I like the Nolan trilogy, I really do, but it's not The Goddamn Batman, and that's what I want to see in a JLA movie. I also want to see Bruce Wayne, and not some successor or other.

@tacos_kickass: I love your humor. Total win.

I'm a Batfan, but as much as I'd love for Batman to win, there's just no possibility of it happening. Zero, zip, nada.

Now I do think it's possible to think up scenarios where Batman would win, but only in a 'backstab' kind of way. IfSupes goes on the offensive, it's over.

If you're going to read them a lot, buy some book plastic film (I'm not sure what the proper English term is) and wrap them in it. You could also take 2-3 inch wide strips of film and put on the outside of the spine, but IMO this looks worse than covering the whole book. It does strengthen the spine considerably though. The downside of wrapping the whole book is that as thin as most trades are, it'll bulk the book out a good bit, and it won't be able to close quite as tightly (but we're speaking marginals here). With book film on it, the book is extremely durable, but IMO, it doesn't need it. I'm a librarian, so I know how much damage books can take, but I haven't even considered wrapping my trades, because they're not going to be damaged in any way by just standing on a shelf, maybe being taken out and read once per year.

Book film comes in both matte and glossy, and in several different degrees of adhesives. Whatever you do, don't buy the strongly adhesive ones, unless you have a LOT of experience wrapping books, because once it goes wrong, it goes *wrong*, and then we can start talking about an ugly book.

Aside from that, and all that I personally do, is a bit of dusting, and maybe wiping them over with a clean, non-wet cloth to remove any sticky fingerprints.

I like it very much. I might even rate it higher than Killing Joke, though I know many would probably disagree with me.

If by books you mean trades, then yes. My 'Local' CS is 4 hours away, so it's either trades or digitally. So far I have bought a lot of trades, because I had so much to get caught up on, supplemented with digital comics for those hard-to-find comics that either aren't in trades or are out-of-print. Though I have just bought Batman #21, and I plan on getting that and Batman/Superman as they come out. I don't want to wait ages for the trades to come out, while people are discussing them all over the net. I like the digital format (I have an iPad with retinal), there are only two cons: you cannot reorder the comics in the DC app (I'm a big fan of systematic order) and trades just look way better on the shelf.
