This volume was absolute brilliance. It took and expanded from the set MAX SS universe. It added Arcanna, Inertia, Nuke, Shape and Emile as main characters, and it did an amazing job at it. Their roles and powers were brilliantly thought out. It was like what if the Ultimate universe was actually done right! They showed up in Ultimate Power, but that representation was pale compared to these 7 issues. The latest series in this universe from 2008 was garbage compared to this. Even the art was non-sensical. This series was supposed to have been finished by Deodato Jr. The fact that it didnt happen is one of THE greatest shames in comic book histoty.
