While I do agree that making cartoony versions of famous covers isn't that impressive, I really despise that so many comic fans only want art that looks ultra realistic and detailed. Making something that looks like a photograph is just as unimpressive as drawing comic characters with tiny limbs and big heads. What the hell is the point of art if all you're trying to do is re-create real life? Why not bring things to life in a way that hasn't been seen before? Don't we get enough of real life? What I find impressive in an artist (aside from technical things like composition, design, gesture etc.) is when they draw characters and settings that look like they could exist in some alternate dimension out there that suits the story, something that doesn't look like this world but you can easily see it existing.

Wow! I'm surprised this got such a great reaction. I don't normally read a lot of Punisher but is he normally as lazy as he is in this movie? I mean I understand minding your own business but he waited around wayyyyyy too long to do something. Or does Punisher just honestly just not give a s*** about victims?

@the_fallen11: ...but I like getting my face stuck in a grossed out frown! It makes me look like Clint Eastwood. No, but in all seriousness I'm dropping this AND avx. I just can't stand how little substance and thought is being put into the whole event compared to how successful its been.

Meh. It wasn't really the victors that bothered me so much as the fact that I could have gotten the same thing (plus probably a lot more fun) out of playing with my old box full of Marvel action figures.

Hickman REALLY needs to do more done-in-one stories. He's great at slow burning epics as well but I've always loved his self-contained issues the most.

WOW! This MUST be terrible if the reviewer recommends waiting until Jeph freakin' Leob jumps on for an increase in writing quality!

I'm so sick of the foggy, bleary animation. It makes me feel drowsy, like I constantly just woke up.

I really hate that Lobo is rarely taken as a satirical character anymore. This movie is gonna be a joke (and NOT in the way it SHOULD be). That Lefield cover looks like Lobo's about to take a giant victory dump all over Deathstroke.

Quitely is a damn god. Its an abomination that he's wasting all his talent on another Millar book.
