I actually loved Thor, the dynamics, characters, and a spin on his origin. But Loki definitely stood out all on his own, plus making him a head villain versus the Avengers. Oh this will be good... (and a sequel = more fun!) Whatever format they make the Thor sequel, whether its part 2, or the aftermath of the Avengers. It will be a great ride

I often wonder if we've stereotyped ourselves after so many decades. Come to think of it, the format hasn't really changed. Even Wonder Woman's origins go back to her father "the lie detector" which is what her "Lasso of Truth" was based on. Aside from the dominating characteristics, she was meant to overpower opponents. Even though it was set in wartime, she was meant to be viewed as a sex symbol. However decades later, she's stuck in limbo where her identity is now, its up to the reader.

With Witchblade, it caught my attention when it cemented itself with a New York detective, seeking out the troublemakers. And she happens to stumble upon a priceless artifact that bonds by a persons spirit. It chooses a wielder by its strengths, weakness, or desires and protects them and those they love. Oddly enough it took apart her clothes because its not self-aware of the attire, but the body. (which is why the artists let loose for awhile) and later garnering Sara with actual armor that was capable of defending her. But the idea behind Sara, is that she is a gorgeous woman who doesn't let anyone get too close. Something I find very captivating.

OMIT was a real mess to read, I actually was able to catch up. Yet still scratch my head on what was Quesada drinking that day.

- Jackal comes from a sleep state

- Ben or Peter?

- Gwen! then we lose Gwen (she turns to a pile of mush)

- Touch of nasty Kaine

- insert crazy idea to make story work, oh and Ben dies (or does he?) or was it Peter? My brain nuuu...

Clone Saga (bite size edition)

- Revival of a an old villain

- Oh and btw all the old villains dish out aggravation in a bad way

- Psychotic family members sacrifice other spiders

- Madame Web can die? (say what?!)

- Kaine is a nice guy, saves the day (takes Peter's place) = Kraven resurrection

Grim Hunt (in a few words or less)

Great to see Bucky back in action as WS. I haven't been reading any recent comics, so Fear Itself feels like a bad dream.

Kinda thankful that I skipped it. Maybe I might snag a copy of WS (Brubaker's writing is intense, and he's a good friend too)

@Or35ti: Oh Birthright was an awesome tale! Never could forget how dramatic and action packed it truly was.

Plus the art was so sophisticated, it didn't feel like the same artist throughout. It made it more interesting and diverse that way. Maybe Birthright's writer may take on this New 52 retelling.

@Dex_Starr: That actually took some getting used to. I felt kinda disjointed, given how much space you could travel in past games. It felt more like Metroid, you're trapped in that specific atmosphere until you can obtain a key object to move on. But you weren't able to backtrack, so that was a bit of a letdown.

This is an Archie comic?! They let the characters evolve, and they feel real. This doesn't seem like an ordinary series anymore, its as if they wrote a drama on television. Something different doesn't hurt, but the plotline may turn many heads around about what makes Archie a comic (or is it something else entirely now?)

Interesting article to share, I remember reading the classic comics. And how each explored what made our favorite teams unique and how they shaped the world they fight to save in every page. "God Loves, Man Kills" was a difficult read, because it challenged many writers, yet somehow Claremont was able to define what was "different" and what is human. I haven't been able to find a title like it since. But its something that Marvel's lawyers are fighting in defense of a generation. I hope they win, and find solidarity to keep it going.

Enjoyed thusly. Sequel. Have at thee! (but which villain.. Thor has taken on so many.)

Maybe they should quit with tradition, its already been done. Just give her a reason to stand by Clark's side, not because of who he is, but what he's going to do. They need to mix it up somehow.
