Professor Ivo in his quest to build the perfect android has created the original silver age Amazo (with the powers of Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and the Martian Manhunter) . Ivo has taken an interest in the power analysis and adaption abilities of the mutant hunting android, Bastion. The Professor sends Amazo to incapacitate Bastion so he can reverse-engineer the secrets of his Nimrod/Master Mold technology. @son_of_tomorrow: When you are trying about Superman's invulnerability it makes things easier if you remember that his invulnerability is relative and not absolute. Relative to a normal human being Superman is invulnerable, but not as invulnerable as lets say Galactus. I hope that helps clear it up at least a bit. Cool Hashirama icon for your avatar by the way.
