The series peaked after the first two films espeically the first one which was a masterpiece of horror and suspense. All the films after the second were just mediocre, cheesy and really tasteless. The Halloween franchise become a true parody of itself in the late 80s and early 2000s like the Jason and Freddy movies. And people like to hype up the The Rob Zombies films but they were missing that iconic Halloween suspense factor and felt more like a mindless gore fest. Part of what made Halloween iconic is the suspense coupled with that legendary score take that away and Michael Myers is like a discount version of Jason Voorhees.. This new film cant be any worse then previous Halloween films and nothing will ever top the first so i,m going in with an open mind. Plus a soft reboot is exactly with this franchise needs.
@jumpstart55: the results were a lot different at first
Indeed. And they are going to continuously shift due to the intense feelings that people have towards these films. Especially when you factor in that silly DCEU vs MCU beef thing that has persisted since Man of Steel.
I think Arnie is. I havent seen much range for Bruce, whereas ive seen Arnie take multitude of different genere roles and play them pretty well. Whereas Bruce plays the same hard as nails guy in all his movies.
