Wait Is Damian going to stay robin? I guess he will either star Red Robin or bring him back as robin. The new nightwing costume isn't the worst designed for a former robin in my opinion.
@The_Tree: @doordoor123: Agreed, but the best we can do is wait and see then if we don't like it blog until DC listen's to it's older readers and if new readers like the new universe, pull a marvel and split, There are still enough earths in the 52 to add one more.
@The_Tree: Thanks, I have much love for Tim as well, (well if you look at my icon you can tell), all I know is Didio better watch out if he touches Jason, I like him but the hardcore fans might start a riot. People were ticked off enough for Lian. BTW I like your Icon and the issue it's from. I can't see Morrison letting Damian disappear without a fight! lol like I commented to leadcat Morrison+crowbar needs to talk to the guys in charge.
@Leadcat: I picture Morrison walking in with a crowbar and beating the crap out of Didio and telling Geoff Johns to back off and telling Lee to go work on Batman projects again
@The_Tree: My only wondering is that Inc my wrap up in August, but Red Robin and BnR seem to have ongoing storylines. Maybe DC will make this there newish "Ultimate Universe" and split into DC classic and New DC. That actually is something that I would be fine with. I mean I know everyone hates a copy cat but that's what Marvel did and it worked.
Quick someone send droid with a hologram message to Morrison saying "Help us Grant "God of Batman" Morrison your our only hope! lol xD
I have a feeling that the push to split the character is just a facade made up by the Shuster and Siegel law team in order to have DC back down and just give a pay out. I mean economically it would be bad for both parties if the character is split because it would confuse people who use the character as advertisement, merchendise ect, on who to use. No one would really benifit from the split. DC should just make a check out and possibly give them a percentage of what sells from Superman from now on. I mean if they really care about the honor of there ancestor's creation, then they would realize that they would be tearing the hearts of those Fans that grown up with the Big S and those kids today that look dream to make the world a better place. I really hope greed and past wrongs don't destroy a character who teaches that even with all the power in the world, the ability to care for one's fellow man. To quote Jimmy Olsen I believe. "We need Superman!"
Couldn't have said it better myself. That's my exact point on this matter
Funny this is an area that fascinates me with religion and superheros, Even with the "gods" faced in the comics there is still mention of a Judeo-Christan God and Christian story in the Main DCU with characters such as the Spectre and Radiant. I think it depends on the writer of the story usually on how they portray Clark/Superman. I remember reading a Graphic novel that dealt with a storyline that involves Clark's dilemma of what to believe though I can't remember the name of it right now. In it show's him talking to, I believe a Catholic priest about his faith due to what he was raised in Smallville on and what he has experienced growing into adulthood.
