@jrock85: It seems to me Geoff is just trying to compènsate for what old fans aren´t getting in WW New52 solo publication. The Superman romance aside, having Cheetah feature as a main villain for JLA is pretty radical and making her cool, and updating her as Geoff did, I appreciate that. As for his characterization, WW can be attracted to superman and superman to her, it was a bit rushed, but I´d rather John take over duties on solo WW than continue with Azz. The guy doesn´t even like the character.
I understand your position. You'd like to see more classic WW and there's nothing wrong with that. However, I don't believe Azz dislikes WW. Quite the opposite actually. In all of his interviews he affectionately refers to her as "my girl."
@Press Oblivion: I'm inclined to agree with you about Superman being a victim in all of this too. The way I see it, Johns is purposely holding both of their romantic lives hostage as a means of trying to keep us on edge for what will happen next because more and more people are becoming disillusioned with his formulaic, uninspired writing. Looking at the latest sales charts, it doesn't appear that this strategy is working because ever since that first kiss, the sales for JL have been dropping faster than a boxer fighting Mike Tyson in his prime. Its not just the characters, but the other creators are suffering from this as well. Andy Diggle and Scott Lobdell are both constantly being harassed on Twitter by people from both "Team Lois" and "Team Diana" and that's just a horrible position for any writer to be in.
