If I had to guess I would say he is might be Latino but he does appear to have blue eyes and that trait is usually only found in people of European descent specifically northern Europe so he could be of that origin. I don't think it matters though.
So Avengers vs X-Men is like Marvel's version of Flashpoint but in stead of a human(Flash) changing everything it is an Omnipotent Fiery Destructive Godlike Entity(Phoenix) yeah I don't see the similarity, But I will say the redesigns do look good and I will also hold judgement until the first issues are released.
Well while he wasn't the first person to become an avenger he was the first marvel character created so maybe he should have been called The Original Avenger
@Wowlock: Well I think the better question is why hasn't the Gotham City Court system sentence him to death, even if he is insane they could get him for committing acts of terrorism which in some states is an automatic death sentence. I mean if Batman won't put a bullet in his head I would at least have figured the courts would have put the needle in his arm.
Killing is only justifiable if it is to protect self, family, or in the extreme case in order to protect humanity( i.e. killing someone who is about to kill thousands of lives). Otherwise it is murder so what you have to ask is which member of The Avengers have killed someone for personal reasons. Killing is easy anyone pushed hard enough can kill another human without think about it until after the adrenaline wears off, but it is what you KILL FOR that makes it right or wrong.
