Sir Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3

So it was announced that Kingsley will be play the "Villain" in the next Iron Man movie. I think since they are bringing in Kingsley that the Mandarin would be a sure bet but the announcement denied that the Mandarin would be the villain, so who do you think Kingsley will be portraying in Iron Man 3?

Sources are lying imo. Kingsley would be perfect for Mandarin. They are probably just trying to keep people guessing.

I agree. He'd be a perfect Mandarin.  
 
And before the "He's not Asain" thing comes up, they've been hinting that The Ten Rings organization is Middle Eastern since the first Iron Man. If Ben Kingsly can be Gandhi, he can be Mandarin.

@Gambit1024: He is the Vizier in the Prince of Persia movie. *If* Ben Kingsley plays the big bad in Iron Man 3, I think he is going to be like Nizam. Don't get me wrong he is a great actor but everytime he plays a villain, he plays the same obviously evil, card carrying bad guy like in Thunderbirds, Bloodrayne and Prince of Persia. He basically plays the same villain in every movie. Why don't they call Malcolm MacDowell or Gary Oldman or David Warner to be the bad guy?

@CaioTrubat: Ah, I got you. I guess the way he plays whatever villain he's playing really depends on Shane Black's writing/directing.

He's be a horrible Mandarin. The Mandarin is powerfully athletic. Kingsley is a shriveled little nerd.

It was IMO in response to the White Luke Cage that is (again IMO) in response to Sir Ben Kingsley playing a supposed Chinese.

Personally, I think that - if they can act the part - it's fine. I liked Michael Clarke Duncan in Daredevil; but then, I'm one of the few who liked that movie. I also hate Scarlett Johansson due to her lack of a Russian accent. So I guess it depends.
