D&D Alignment Meme Chart Game -- X-Men Edition (User-Interactive!)

So, you know those memes coming out all over the place, showing D&D Alignments for various characters within the same universe (usually in TV shows)? Well, I'ma start doin' them in the comicverse! This will be X-centric. Here are my Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man ones.

This is interactive! ^-^ What does this mean for you?

I'm going to be listing various characters and the alignments I think they deserve. I'll also be attempting to give them quotes that perfectly sum up why they are that alignment. Your job is to...

  • Suggest characters I may not have thought of.
  • Tell me that X alignment for Y character is stupid.
  • Suggest fitting character quotes.
  • Suggest which character is more fitting to their alignment, when I post 2+ for the same category.

Note that when this is over there can only be 9 chosen characters. So it'll take time to whittle 'em all down!

Ready? Here we go!

I'd probably put Mags at Lawful neutral or True neutral

Cable - Chaotic Good

Storm - Lawful Good

Mags, honestly, I feel is to complex to really pinpoint on a chart like this, but if I had to pick one it'd probably be lawful neutral. He and Cyclops are pretty much the same alignment at this point.

I agree with the above poster that Mystique should be neutral evil. She'll work with the law or against it, but always seems to be motived with malicious intent. And there's been some evil people in the X-Men before. Sabretooth is definitely chaotic evil and he was an X-Men for a time.

The best one for Chaotic Neutral, IMO, would have to be Jean Grey (Phoenix). She's almost the definition of chaotic neutral in my mind. Always a force of destruction, but not really caring for good or evil.

Her quote of course: "I am fire, and life incarnate! Now and forever, I am Phoenix!"

@moonchilde: Kay, I'll throw her on. I'll add Sabez too.

@joygirl: Actually, now that I really think about it, both Cyke and Mags should probably be true neutral rather then lawful neutral. Both have been shown to go against the law if they believe the law to be unjust. They both seem to support a degree of order, so not really chaotic. Both have good intentions with sound arguements, so not evil; however both have committed questionable actions so not really good either.

It's kindof weird, as I usually think of "true neutral" characters as to boring to take a stand, but in their case it's really more of "they cover to much of the spectrum to really be placed anywhere."

@moonchilde: Lawful doesn't always follow established laws. Just extremely strict and organized. Magz and Cyke always follow what THEY think needs to be done, without compromise.

@joygirl: Yeah, but she consistently has ulterior motives only to benefit herself.

@deranged_midget: Eh, that's Neutral. If her ulterior motives were to slaughter others or aid herself at everyone's expense that'd be evil. But neutral is consistently self-serving.

Rogue - Neutral good

Emma Frost- Lawful Neutral

Namor - True Neutral (IMO, this one could be LN or CG, Namor is trickier)

@theamazingimmortalman: Lol, Namor is tricky isn't he? I think I'll just leave him out, lol. I'm trying to crystallize a core 9 anyway and if he has such a hard time fitting then he ain't needed.

The new list is now lacking female representation. Very wrong, especially for a franchise that's known for it's strong female characters.

I think you should add back Storm and Jean for Lawful Good and Chaotic Neutral respectively. Nothing against Colossus or Deadpool, but Storm and Jean are far more important and iconic to the franchise as a whole.

@moonchilde: Mrh. They don't really fit the alignments as well though. And I have done plenty for womankind in my other various lists, teams, and stories. Storm can be construed as Neutral or even Chaotic Good depending, and Jean has deviated from Chaotic Neutral many times. The characters chosen are much closer to their alignments.

I might consider sliding Kitty Pryde into the Neutral Good slot.

I like your list. Loved you to do another X-Men one. Include Magneto, Emma and Mystique.
