D&D Alignment Meme Chart Game -- Superman Edition (User-Interactive!)

So, you know those memes coming out all over the place, showing D&D Alignments for various characters within the same universe (usually in TV shows)? Well, I'ma start doin' them in the comicverse! This will be super-family-centric. Here are my Batman and Spider-Man ones.

This is interactive! ^-^ What does this mean for you?

I'm going to be listing various characters and the alignments I think they deserve. I'll also be attempting to give them quotes that perfectly sum up why they are that alignment. Your job is to...

  • Suggest characters I may not have thought of.
  • Tell me that X alignment for Y character is stupid.
  • Suggest fitting character quotes.
  • Suggest which character is more fitting to their alignment, when I post 2+ for the same category.

Note that when this is over there can only be 9 chosen characters. So it'll take time to whittle 'em all down!

Ready? Here we go!

Judge Dredd-Lawful Neutral

Edited by JwwProd

Darkseid should be Chaotic Evil.

Edited by Joygirl

@betatesthighlander1: But Judge Dredd isn't a Superman character. :'(

Darkseid runs a planet with an iron fist as an evil dictator. He is very nearly Lawful Evil.

Supergirl I think is a good candidate for neutral good. She doesn't have the strong morality of Kal but doesn't shun laws just to accomplish an end even if the law is dumb. She doesn't share his undying love for humanity either, but still does right by them. At least how she's been written in New 52 so far.

Except he is probably evil incarnate, he is Chaotic Evil in my eyes.

Also Doomsday should be ranked under evil as well.

Not bad but I'd rank Darkseid as Lawful evil. Doomsday is a chaotic neutral.

@deranged_midget: See, err, below. And Doomsday I see as animalistic, which is True Neutral.

@jwwprod:

"Evil Incarnate" is Neutral Evil.

*nod*

Can you explain why you're make Lobo TN and Doomsday CN, rather than the other way around as I have it?

Posted by TheAmazingImmortalMan

@joygirl: I put TN for Lobo because he is a paid merc, doesn't matter if it's for the greater good or if it's someone with agrudge he does it for money (or info or whatever he wants).

Doomsday is CN for me because while he is brutish and has no right vs wrong concept he creates chaos wherever he goes.

Nice list, but I consider Zod and Darkseid to be Lawful Evil :P

Edited by Joygirl

@theamazingimmortalman: Creating chaos doesn't make you Chaotic. General Zod creates oodles of chaos whenever he does anything but he's quite Lawful.

Lobo is a paid merc, you're right. I'm just talking about his personal stuff -- he's very likely to goof off on a contract even if he's getting it done, and if you screw him over or give him crap, or he gets a better deal, he'll turn on you in a heartbeat.

Zod just does what he thinks he's supposed to. Darkseid I talked about above. :P

@joygirl: There's an MMO? =O I do have Steam! 0.0 Gonna see if it's on there.

sorry, I was half asleep when I posted that

Maxima as true Neutral?

Edited by Joygirl

@betatesthighlander1: You think she is true neutral? :O

Though also remember we are trying to narrow this down so unless you think she is MORE True Neutral than Doomsday....

Posted by TifaLockhart

Nah. Lobo has gotten better offers and cursed himself for not leaving wiggle room. Thems the breaks. A promise is a promise.

@joygirl: you don't consider Doomsday Chaotic evil?

Posted by Joygirl

@betatesthighlander1: When a spider bites you, is it evil? Doomsday is very nearly mindless, too much so to actually care and think about his actions, which makes him True Neutral I believe, though many folks seem to be disagreeing.

A spider bites because its either trying to defend itself or trying to get food.

Doomsday kills for the sake of killing, gaining nothing from the (billions?) he kills

additionally, his mind has been confirmed to have a strong aurua of active offense

let's compare this with the definition of a chaotic evil character (Source)

"A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal."

seem pretty similar
