There are two types of people, those who like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and bad people.

Upon further fanboy introspection, I'm not sure how I feel about Bruce Wayne Batman meeting Thomas Wayne Batman.

It'd be cool to see, but I feel like it'd take away some of the tragedy of Flashpoint Batman and how he never got to see Bruce or the world he lives in. Thomas Wayne's death in Flashpoint was, in my mind, absolutely perfect, and I hope King can write this story without negating that emotion.

Well they ruined Barry Allen's perfect death from Crisis because Johns can't let go so I don't see why Thomas Wayne's would be untouchable.

Some more thoughts.

Some of the worse things:

-Many Fights make no sense, the choreography feels really bland, where actors to blatantly "giving up". There is a scene where Iron first gets crowded by several guys on top of him and he push them all in the air, they fall to the ground and they fall unconscious...what?The choreography overall feels slow and poor and goes to show why it's preferably to have a stuntman for the leading role than an actor in a martial arts series For a martial arts film it doesn't have that sensation where you feel the character is an amazing fighter, more like people just let him win.

Then as with Daredevil season 2 with the hand, The trope of conservation of ninjitsu is played to eleven. Iron fist always struggle Just enough no matter the number of opponents, how they are armed, the conditions or who the opponents are. Every challenge is just confronted with the same amount of effort, unless it's a climax for the story. In one scene he has to fight 6 swat guy with machine guns. He beats them with enough effort. In another he has to fight one business man with a handgun? well one of the hardest fights he had because the story demanded it.

He has to fight a Ninja with a sword? He barely beats it. Later that same ninja aided with 20 other fighters? He wins just barely.

It becomes pathetic rather fast.

The main character isn't bad per se, but is not believable. We are supposed to believe this 15 year monk which trained to become a living weapon and to meditate and focus his chi, is just a child mentally. Now I can understand him being Naive, given he didn't grow with our current society. But he is a person that has no control over his emotions at all, he is like the walking deadly sins (Lust, Pride, Wrath, are for sure there, add fear and thirst of vengance). Now I like a character that has no control over his emotion. Is just unbelievable this character happend to be a 15 year trained monk, specially with it's childish tantrums. It doesn't add up, it just makes no sense at all.

The good things:

I think other than the leading role the acting is quite good, in many parts. But the most important part is that the plot is overall interesting and enough time is invested in each plot point. There are different intricate arcs that i found i want to see how develop. There are many scenes that are just entertaining. The dialogue is pretty good in many scene and the character development is interesting.I think the camera work, the music, the tone, and a lot of the technical stuff is just top notch.Overall For a show about martial arts. Surprisingly most of the things related to fight sucks, which is sad because DD was so good in the regard.(I loved the fight vs the drunken master tough)But the rest of the show I find it enjoyable.

Ninja rule #1 One ninja is a nigh unstoppable badass, a group of ninjas are worthless canon fodder.

Also, because Ive seen this criticism pop up a few times so I feel I need to bring it up. THERE IS NO GASLIGHTING. Mild spoiler Yes he gets put in a mental ward but its never even implied that he doubts his reality. Gaslighting refers to making the character its happening to doubt the world around him, the only thing Danny questioned was stuff he saw while he was knowingly drugged up.

Im on ep 5 and frankly I don't know why critics are bashing so hard, (OK I know why the SJW critics are bashing). Sure its no Breaking Bad, its not nearly as bad as its being made out to be. Its got its flaws but all in all its alright.
