Captain Marvel landed at the Rock of Eternity and waited for word from the Wizard. After a few minutes the specter of Shazam appeared before him, "Welcome Christopher."

Chris nodded, "Hello. Why do you need me in Kahndaq?"

The wizard sat near the Rock, "I need you to find a man who like you, possesses my power."

Chris looked confused, "Another?"

The wizard chuckled, "It has happened before, I assume you know your history."

Chris' eyes went wide, "Black Adam is alive?"

The wizard shook his head, "No, tho another has taken his mantle. I need you to bring him here, my hope is that you can make an ally of him. Perhaps with your power combined with his you can set this world right again."

Chris gave a shrug, "I'll do my best."

"That is all one can ask of another."

Chris gave the last statement a curious look as he rose into the sky.

Kahndaq

[One week ago.]

“SHAZAM!” Zidain yelled.

Zachary Zatara stood atop a large hill, observing the battle between Zidain, Isis, and Wonder Woman. A sinister grin crawled across his face.

“What power.” He said to himself.

He slowly walked away as the battle continued.

[Present day.]

Zidain entered a small inn he and Mira stumbled across.

“Come on, Zidain! Your food’s getting cold.” Mira yelled.

“In this weather? I think it'll most likely get hotter.”

He sat down and began eating when Mira suddenly collapsed to the ground.

“Mira, what’s wrong?!” He asked as he raced to her side.

“It’s a vision!” She said. “I see... a wizard in red, with a lightning bolt on his chest! Also...”

“What? What is it?” Zidain asked.

“He possesses a power like yours. He’s coming to kill you.”

The pain faded and she got back to her feet.

“We should go, people are starting to give us a weird look.” Zidain said.

Mira stopped him and said “Wait. There’s something else. He possesses a power. One that could help you defeat Superman. That’s why he’s coming for you, Zidain. If you can kill him, then you can get the power from him!”

“If that’s what I have to do, then that’s exactly what I’ll do.” Zidain said.

From the shadows, a man observed the two talking.

“I hope so.” The man said.

“I hope so.” Mira said at the same time.

Captain Marvel stood on a rocky hill wondering where to begin his search when he saw two people walking away from an oasis inn. At first he thought nothing of it but then he spoke to himself, "Well, may as well ask."

He flew off and landed in front of Zidain and Mira, "Umm, hey. You guys wouldn't have happened to see a guy in a black version of my suit would you?"

A grin came across Zidain's face, "Now that's just destiny."

Chris was confused as Zidain spoke, "Well hello, Shazam!."

Mira had a hateful glare, "Your time's up Wizard."

Chris stared, "Wait, what?"

Suddenly Zidain took the form of Black Adam and struck Chris sending him flying several miles into a mountain side. Zidain then brushed his hands and turned to Mira, "This shouldn't be too hard."

He turned at the sound of rushing wind and was met with a fist to the face accompanied by a sonic boom. Chris then roared back, "The name is Captain Marvel, jack ass."

Zidain landed two miles away crashing into a sand dune and rolling for a few hundred feet. He stood up furious and flew back toward Captain Marvel at top speed. Chris had the same idea. As the two met they struck each other in the face making a sound as if an atomic bomb had just gone off that echoed for miles round.

The two then crashed to the ground leaving large craters. As the stood they noticed Mira in the form of Isis floating above. Zidain shouted, "Stay out of this."

She shrugged and backed away as the two again shot into the air.

Zatara stood near by invisible as he watched, "That worked better than expected."
