Often I hear about artists not being capable of drawing women, especially when it comes to race or ethnicity. But what seems overlooked is the characters age.  
  
Again I write from my perspective as an X-Men reader so I don't want to make it seem like I am making this generalized claimed, but with the X-Men we see many children and adolescents being brought in. Originally we had teenagers, just hitting puberty joining the X-Family and that should suggest that they are relatively young, especially when compared to that of the older X-Men. But many times the children look just like the 20-30 year olds who have been heroes for years.   

 
One character that has recently bothered me is Indra, he was supposed to be the youngest of the surviving X-Kids yet in the new legacy issues he looks mid twenties. Given the story line they seem to want to fudge the age of the character but he looks much older and more buff than one would expect from a 16-17 year old.  
 
But the main reason that I wrote this is because of the art I have seen on Idie. Relatively new, I was okay with the solicit art of what she looked liked, but in the actual issue where she was introduced she is said to be 12. The promo art and the generation Hope cover did not

show a 12 year old girl. It dipictated a high school or college student similar to Laurie and Gabriel. I understand that having a child on the cover may seem weird but not just her height and fitness is the issue, her uniform is not something that a 12 year old should be wearing. I can understand a character like Surge wears a tube top and low cut jeans; she is supposed to be 18-19 by now. A 12 year old should not have the same physique as a 20 year old.

The future X-Men are faced with the return of two enemies, Warpath, now the Horseman War, and a younger Magneto. These events bring back three retired X-Men. Hellion seeks guidance from Cyclops, now with Gauntlet tech that allows him to focus his optic blasts into him right hand. With the return of Magneto, Rogue comes to see if her old love has returned again, Rogue hasn't left the world of heroics, but now is partners with an Independent Ms Marvel. Finally with War back from the grasp of Apocalpse, Wolverine must face the monster that he feels he is partially responsible for creating. Also with War back, will Dust and Armor get some closures with the friends that thy lost at his hands? 
 

  
OK, this has been annoying me for awhile and now it's beginning to piss me off (just a little). 

I never wrote a Blog before Vine, and it still took me a long time to make one. Not really sure what to write about, I tried to start by bringing a conversation that I had with a non-comic friend that made   me think.

Blog 1: Independent Female Characters

Basically what I realized about female X-Men being more original from the gecko. Avenger women start in the shadow of a male character while mutants seem to have more original roots.

Blog 2: Me and I’m Gone

Wrote this right before I had to take a really long break from all comics. I had stuff in Chicago that I really had to do, but not really want to. Basic rundown on who I was at that time, I’m slightly diff, but that’s the gist.

I tried to do a recap on the Academy X-Kids. The last year saw the majority of them die and get some really intense stories.

Requests from Ryonslaught, a great guy if you haven’t had the pleasure, Started with all the Jamaican supers and later the cast of Dread and Alive.

So made the X-Men teleporters while reading Second Coming, Started with me making a random Kurt and expanding the team. Ariel and Vanisher were fun and I was a little off with Magik. Then CrackedG mentioned I forgot Pixie and made it again, really like the wings J

Favorite set at the time. Loved the book, so much better than X-Men Forever. Gave me a reason to make my fav’s and I really like the fact that the Micros remind of the art.

So I made a list of Future X-Men prediction, then split them into Three teams, this was the First. Lead by my Man Anole. Don’t hate Jonas and Cipher :P

The Hellbound Team sent to save Illyana. Loved the team, the arc was ify though.

Like many fanboys and girls out there, I made up my own little marvel Universe. This blog was only because I was adding the next which was all 1312020 characeters basically so I thought I would throw this out there.

XSI, my little XSE mention in my world, so much better than Xtreme sanction executive. All my characters with the exception of Bish, who I hate in 616.

Why I believe Mutants as Super heroes is initial a bad idea. And yeah do some research before you get in an argument with me, punk.

Just talking about how old these characters seem. Just a rehash of characters not in the spot light.
