This has confirmed my thoughts... I am definitely going to get this!

As Deadman fan, and wannabe writer, this preview proves that this arc will show Deadman in the way I pictured, and in a way that could show the comic medium in a different light to the general public, if it is successful.

The only problem is the art, in my opinion. I don't think that it's bad, but I think that's it's rather average and the book would fit a style more similar to Animal Man.....

That regardless, I'm no expert and I will be picking this up anyway....

In the past few months, I've been trying to reinvent various DC comics characters, with an emphasis on some of the older and lesser known ones. NOTE: This is completely non-profit and is just my form of entertainment.

Anyway, I've always loved the Dial H for Hero character, but I found the concept to be a rather hard one to imagine in modern comics (possibly why you hardly see it now) and I was wondering: How would you reinvent the characters and the concept, preferably without making it too much like Ben 10?

1 - A brief idea I had was where an increasing number of diverse heroes is resulting in unpredictable outcomes, as the media and government are fearing who is behind it and the power they must have. Meanwhile, Robby is helping people, only to find others would do anything to get a new body and a fresh start in life, making him feel rather depressed and greedy. Moreover, turning into different heroes is creating split personalities in his mind, causing an increasingly bad dissoactive identity disorder and amnesia. Becoming famous for being someone he's not is causing emotional trauma and has made him forget what it's like to be himself, or human for that matter.
2 -  Another idea I literally just had was quite different.... Maybe he finds out that all the heroes he turned into still exist in the world, gaining personalities of their own. He has to go out to find them, before they loose control of their powers and kill innocents in his name. This story will be able to cover the issue of identity and cloning and could be a superheroic analogy of 'The ship of Theseus'.
3 -  Possibly linked to the above, Robby could find out that he is actually everyone (or a big proportion) of people in his life, and was, in fact, the person that put the dial where he found it. I understand this sounds like a completely strange idea , but if you look at 'All you zombies', you'll see where I'm coming from.

That's a few of my suggestions, anyway. What's yours?

I appreciate feedback, but I was talking about the idea of opposites in general, and used Bizarro as an excuse to talk about it on a comic-based website.

I was just thinking about stuff.... and this came across my mind. There is a major problem with the concept of Bizarro and Bizarro World.

Bizarro World and all it's inhabitants are designed to be the opposite (or as different as possible) to Earth and all it's inhabitants.  However, paradoxical problems start here:

1. Surely if there were such a thing as a so called 'opposite world', then it wouldn't be able to exist. I say this because the world we live in, this world, exists in itself, meaning that for there to be an opposite counterpart to it, it had to not exist.

2. Even if it managed to exist, heroes (or villains) in the Bizarro World seemed to have similar powers to this Earth's counterparts. Surely if these characters were opposite to this world's heroes, then they wouldn't have powers at all or in fact be famous.

3. Contrary to my points above, if you look even further, Bizarro World would just be like this Earth. I say this because this world isn't opposite to itself, as there is nothing for it to be opposite to, meaning that Bizarro World must have something to be opposite to, meaning that it's opposite to itself, which is supposed to be opposite to Earth. This means that Bizarro World must be opposite to it's already opposite (from Earth) world. (Sorry for the bad explanation)

Thanks for reading! Feel free to prove me wrong... somehow.

NOTE: This Topic is intended to be fun; sorry for offending any die-hard Bizarro fans out there.

(To add to my point below)
We only have one image so far, and that may not even be final, so for someone to say that they are going to quit reading DC Comics because Superman has changed in costume and appearance, would be rather illogical. Moreover, superman wasn't always an adult; maybe that image was a modernization of superman in his teens.
To add to that, Everyone is treating this as if DC are erasing everything and starting again. The term 'reboot' was given my fans, but I feel that it is more of a modernization and reinvention. Look what DKR did to Batman; it made a rather silly character that no one could take seriously into the crime fighting bad-ass he is today. Maybe this 'reboot' will end up having the same revolutionary effect that could potentially change the comic medium as we know it, and make something new. I guess people just aren't willing enough to take that opportunity and make some changes.

With all respect to haters, I feel that too many people are jumping to conclusions. The little information that they have given us could take these characters in a number of directions, so I feel more details are required in order to get a wider and more accurate view.
In other words, lets see how this turns out, and not base our full opinions on a few (possibly misleading) facts.
I don't really care if you have made your mind up already, but the reboot is something that's going to stick with us, so it's best to find the positives, as only seeing the negatives isn't going to do yourself any good.

@Wolverine0628: I think about this kind of thing all the time, but I never thought about it in that way. How awesome would a good yellow or red lantern be?; afterall, Marvel based Hulk on anger.

I know its already been done, but I hope they include another set of scarecrow dreams. For me, it was the highlight of the first game.

Maybe the story will explain their choice, ei leaving Batman in a certain situation. The time they don't waste making multiplayer, they can develop a unique and interesting story, just like the first one. In other words, lets hope the story makes up for this decision!
