ignore them. They're nothing but a bunch of basement dwellers who spend all day whining on the 'net. Not a single open-minded one in the bunch

That made me laugh!

I still dont know about this series yet. I'm sort of on the fence about picking it up. I might just wait for the trades.

Posted by Roldan

Isn't that just an act? The glory hound persona. I mean if Batman trusts Booster to lead JLI, then that means he still knows Booster's real job or former. I really hope that we can get a Booster solo series again. Giffen and DeMatteis should take over after about 20 issues and Dan should do a either a Time Masters series with Booster and Rex or Booster solo series that continues from the previous one.

Still doesn't have me all that interested, especially with the way they appear to be treating Booster as a character.

Posted by The_Tree

I've gotta check it out.
I still can't get over Booster's costume though.

.........well that's off the pull list

 Not interested in this title anymore. Seems corny.

like ive said before im giving this to issue three till i drop it or keep it. Ill be letting the comics themselves as a whole decide if ill keep them or not

Wow. I'm actually interested. For Justice League freackin' international. Hows this shizz possible yo? How could they make my least wanted comic come onto my pull list? HOW? No, but seriously, Booster seems to be looking good, with Bats vouching for him. I like General Iron (I abreviated that, deal with it) and Godiva seems cool enough. Never been much for Rocket Red, Ice or Guy but the latter is very important. I LOVE Blue Beetle though.

Looks great in my opinion. Can't wait to read this, Action Comics, Animal Man, and Batgirl on Wednesday. :D

I'm surprised that the rest of the team doesn't seem to have a problem with Booster leading. I wonder if this is a sign that Booster, Ice, Fire, Bats, and Red remember the events from Generation Lost.

First good impressions... Booster's new costume doesn't look as bad as I originally thought. I still think it's a case of "changing for the sake of changing" and not as good as his previous one, but I think I can get used to it. Also, Gavril! I was really worried he wasn't going to be the Rocket Red here, so that's a relief. I wish his armor looked more like armor and less like spandex, though.

First worrying impressions... I'm getting the impression here that all of the JLI's history has been wiped and this is the first JLI. That's a pretty big deal. That kind of throws off my understanding of almost all of these characters. A lot of readers are going to be coming to this directly from Generation Lost, so the clean slate approach wouldn't be the smartest move.

Pretty much said it all here, folk. Especially on how much of their continuity stuck.

@shol:
Yeah that's what I really want an answer to. Does Generation Lost still stand?

@Roldan:
Yeah it is an act, but It doesn't seem like Jurgens is playing it that way. I really want to know if this is the "1st" JLI because based on the solicits and these preview pages it seems like that's the case. And if so then Booster the ass clown is who we may get :(

I don't know why this title is being called Justice League International. I mean, this is clearly the Global Guardians from the varied nationalities and the direct supervision of the U.N. So why call this book JLI if the main Justice League title isn't Justice League of America anymore? Just seems like a bad copy of all the stupid Avenger titles Marvel has going on. I don't think anyone would be confused if JLI was called Global Guardians and Justice League Dark was called Shadowpact.

I'm more interested in Stormwatch and how this WildStorm/Earth-50 team is going to fit in the regular DCnU continuity. From what I've read both Apollo and Midnighter are going to fit into the DCnU considering their the Earth-50 versions of Superman and Batman. That, in my opinion, will be a much better series than Justice League International.

However I am happy in how Guy Gardner is getting written. You can tell he's the same old hot-headed Guy but at the same time we isn't yelling because he's whinning or complaining solely based on his inflating his ego and the writers are keeping him at roughly the same level as he was at the end of GLC and Emerald Warriors which is good. Don't think they should have kept the jacket though and should have given all the Earth GL's a similar look. It's not like you can't tell whose who since each one is distinctly different from the other but since just about every other GL is in the same uniform it would have been nice to see Guy finally in the same one. I know that's not what his character is really like but this is a revamp and it could happen. Plus I wish they had gotten rid of the white gloves.

It really would be a disaster for these characters if all their history gets wiped away. If there was never a JLI before this, that completely ruins Max Lord. It rips the guts right out of that character. I can't even imagine what no JLI would mean for Ted Kord. Like everyone else, I have no idea what version of Booster Gold we're dealing with here. Do Guy and Ice still have a history together? Hell, do Fire and Ice? I'm not judging yet. I know this is just a preview. But I am going to be trying to figure these things out when I read the issue.

Also, I miss Vixen's cleavage. I am not ashamed.

Jurgens is writing Booster so I'm buying! Glad to see Guy too.

I'm soooo geeked for Stormwatch! And I really, really, really, really wish that Milligan had called Justice League Dark Shadowpact :(

If this was a Booster Gold ongoing I would buy it, but I could careless about the rest of these characters (except Batman of course)

I think its pretty obvious why JLI is called JLI. First off there is the obvious fact that they want to market this book towards the MANY fans of the JLI run and Generation Lost. Heck even at the end of the book Booster and Batman were planning on forming the JLI, and it told readers the JLI was coming soon. So even if the relaunch didn't happen a JLI book would have coexisted with the main Justice League book. Second, a book with Justice League in the title is obviously going to attract more readers than a book called Global Guardians, especially when marketing towards people that may have never really read comics before. That's the same reason Justice League Dark isn't being called Shadowpact. These two teams are really made up of B and C listers, so they really need to grab the attention of a person going into a comic shop and looking for a cool book to read.

Touche, sometimes I forget that the point of this reboot is to do whatever it takes to bring in the fabled "New Reader", the most elusive of beasts.
Posted by noj
@JonesDeini: haha, true, but I really hope this works and DC is able to catch this "elusive beast". One of my best friends who has told me many times of his distaste for superhero comics is actually going to start to buy the Men of War monthly. Hopefully I can convince him to try out some more book as well, but the industry really does need to attract more people.

It does, but I don't think this is the proper way to go about it. But hell I get some books I may end up loving out of the deal so what the hell and if it sucks. Oh well. I have plenty of Image/Vertigo/Marvel books to hold me down. I was down to only 3 or so legit DC ongoing books anyways.

i'm on the fence about this....

@JonesDeini: Yeah man. I REALLY hope it doesnt suck since I dropped all of my Marvel/Image books earlier this year. But I will say that the best thing I can say about this relaunch is that if I didnt get back into comics a year and 1/2 ago I am almost positive that this would have gotten me back in.

I was kinda hoping this was going to be a direct follow up to Generation Lost....now I'm not so sure. I'm still going to give it a shot.

Cant' say the same myself. The books I'm reading now are more or less the continuation of books I'm already reading or stuff I had heard about but never gotten the chance to read in the past. I'm more or less reading the same creators I read now at DC.
